Last year we went to NYC and stopped into the infamous
@scarrspizza We were lucky enough to be gifted their collab with
@jumpman23 pizza box. As we walked out, I looked at the box and said to my wife
@evilyn.oro , “I gotta bring the Jumpman home.”
Reflecting back on that moment in the middle of the LES, I manifested this ✨
When
@notre ran the idea of this project by me
@jumpman23 x
@levis collab, “Cut from the Same Cloth” it hit home because that’s something I say quite frequently. I knew it was time.
Firstly, working with my favorite shop in Chicago has always been a dream and a goal of mine. This was a full-circle moment working with the Notre team. I remember shopping and choppin’ it up with
@j.villan_ &
@mjjaworowski during the Andersonville location days. To watch & witness their growth is something I strive for with Novel as a brand. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to work with longtime friends & feature some of our favorite businesses and people.
We’re not trying to chase the “best pizza” award (even though we got it IMO 😏). From all the interviews, something I always say is: “Pizza is our canvas.”
My goal is bigger than just a pizzeria restaurant. The toppings on my pizza canvas are products/merch, visuals, collaborations, experiences, & much more. This little pizza shop brought Jordan Brand and Levi’s to Pilsen. We’re in a lane of our own.
Everything we do is intentional. The Blue-chata drink for this event was inspired by indigo denim & to pay homage to
@levis 💙 S/O Sal for this!
Special thanks to
@srvdchicago for the custom floral Jumpman logo and the iconic Levi’s red tag! ❤️🌹
Big ups to
@troyyylehman from
@notre &
@chicago.jorge @jus.studios team as well for making the homecoming pizza box come to life.
Lastly thank you to team
@novel.pizza for executing this. We did our damn thing! 🧡
If you don’t understand my vision that’s fine, just enjoy the show. Chicago we’re just getting started.
