Very honored and excited to announce that our film "Nowar" is an of official selection of TribecaX @tribeca . Big thanks to @sesameworkshop for trusting us with this story. We filmed this, and another piece in Beirut and Amman in 2023. We had incredible crew members who over a couple weeks handled food poisoning, flu, getting hit by a motorcycle, gear stuck in customs, stuck in elevators, allergic reactions, and still made it all happen. It ended up being one of the most special adventures I've ever been on, and so happy we got to share @nowarmahyri story. We’ve all been driving Toyotas for years, so it was exciting to get tapped by our friends at AMC/Sundance to shoot this BBC America branded piece featuring the new 2024 Tacoma. A few years back, we shot a teaser for a series that we were going to call The Track. It followed a dirt racing league based out of the hardscrabble town of Grants, New Mexico. These guys are racing cars they build themselves with parts mostly found in junkyards. When they win they make tens of dollars. When they lose, it costs them their pride and sometimes their dignity. Ultimately the series didn’t get picked up. Maybe the world has moved on from trying to understand a bunch of blue-collar guys who earn a wage, support their families, and enjoy the basic thrills of loud toys that go fast. In any event, we learned a ton—about just how much time and access and community buy-in it takes to make a series. About how hard it is to record audio on an active racetrack. About how many hands you really need to make an audacious project. We talked a lot about whether to post this teaser at all because it feels like failure to us. But a lot of people poured themselves into those six months of production. Thanks to all of the amazing and talented people who worked on it as well as the racers and community around Grants let us into their lives.
