Biggest pier king Iāve caught in a long time! Shoutout to all the pier locals who cleared the rail and helped me land this thing, a legit team effort. This thing smoked a live threadfin but wanted to stay straight up and down. After the rail was cleared @its.just_in_time and @_cory561 both dropped their gaffs and Justin was able to stick it. 5 days chasing the monsters of the Chesapeake Bay is now live on YouTube. This was a really special trip to me. We were able to trailer my @rangerboats 2600 from Florida all the way to Virginia in order to target my favorite fish in one of the coolest ways. As with any fishing trip, it was far from easy, but thanks to a hard working crew, we were able to put together an amazing story. Shoutout to @sashimi__sportfishing as well as @sunsoutfishing and @flapjackmegapixel for all their hard work on this trip. Life changing blow ups. When @billy_hayess invited me to go bluefin fishing with the boys I thought I was ready. I wasnāt š . These fish go nuclear on big lures, sometimes completely airing out of the water. The first time I saw a 400lb Bluefin jumping towards the boat I knew I was hooked for life.
As the commercial sized fish were closed on our trip we were only allowed to keep one recreational sized fish per day. Thatās a fish under 73ā. So when I landed this 72ā fish I was insanely stoked. To top it off it was the first bluefin tuna Iāve ever landed.
Over two days we caught tons of giant bluefin, captured some incredible video footage, broke some expensive gear, and laughed our asses off. I canāt thank @bluerunnersportfishing enough for running such a great operation. You all are going to GEEK when these YT videos come out.

Epic trip jigging some oil rigs goes live on YT today! The @johnnyjigs team and I traveled north to Dauphin Island, Alabama to fish with one of my favorite operations in the world @captain_kurt_t š» We found cobia, grouper, tuna, and so much more. To cap it all off I was able to land my personal best yellow-edge grouper which I have to say is probably my favorite fish to eat of all time. #fishing

I peaked when I was 16 years old and Iām not mad about it š. Growing up fishing on the pier there was one fish that the locals coveted above the rest. A cobia caught on a jig was considered the pinnacle of pier fishing. Hooking a delicious fish that gets huge, fights hard, and eats a jig is nothing short of electric.
16 years later and to my knowledge this fish still stands as the pier record. Itās also extremely cool to me that the @vanstaalofficial and custom rod are still kicking around and catching fish. Shoutout to @junobait for the photos that I will cherish forever. #pierfishing
