Insane day on the water with Captain Josh @outermostanglingcharters ! It was towards the end of the day and we had just pulled the hook on a giant a few minutes earlier. Dropped a 400g octagon jig down and this fish ate on the bottom in 400’. Finally got the cape giant I was looking for after countless suicide missions w the boys. She was 93” and dressed out to 486lbs. We had some fun with rec fish earlier in the day and was able to get my sickest bite of the summer on a stickbait. Feel incredibly lucky to have it all come together.

Stoked to announce that the new Tak Waterman tuna plug R&D phase is over. From swimming the 270F stickbait in heavy chop and getting spooled to watching the DP raise monsters in sheet glass, these lures are the real deal. Ended the 2 day testing session by putting another deep water demon to the boat thanks to the 260DP. To say I’m excited for these to be released is an understatement.

Last Wednesday was pure chaos aboard the FV Halo Rick 2! Alex is absolutely dialed in—kept us on jumbos from sunrise to sunset. Every single bite came on the Amegari Mehe 255. Just as the sun started to dip, we were hanging back watching the Junkies and Orkatz wrap up a new PB. While we waited, we marked a small pile, so I tossed out a hookless Mehe just for kicks—sure enough, another XL model inhaled it.
This place never stops blowing our minds.

A 100+ inch Outer Banks bluefin pushed Sal for nearly three hours aboard @moanasportfishing .
