âDonât Ruin Flowersâ came at a time when I thought I had written every feeling of a breakup and then this one hit me with a mix of sadness and strength.
I think protecting beautiful things in your life is so important and flowers became the physical representation of that for me at a time when someone I used to love was using flowers in place of real apologies.
The strength comes from learning to give up the things that really donât matter so you can hold on tight to the things that do. (Subtle nod to âUnbecomingâ.)
Couldnât have done it without my amazing co-writers @lydiasutherland_ & @ryan_kohn . This song wouldnât exist without the unique talents you both bring into a writing room.
What felt like months of waiting, is now a day filled with excitement and release day nerves (apparently that never goes away) so stream it everywhere now and stay tuned for the video and all the things!

Ryan Kohn has inked a global publishing deal with Concord Music Publishing, in partnership with John Dennis' InDent Music, the publishing arm of Dennis Entertainment. The deal includes Kohn's full catalog and future works.
The producer and songwriter first moved to Music City to study music business at Belmont University. Since graduating in 2022, Kohn has worked with Erin Kirby, Cole Goodwin, Grace Tyler, Callista Clark, Ashley Anne, Callie Prince, Randall Fowler, Stanton Langley, Emmy Moyen and more.
