Thank you to all who came by my opening last Thursday! I feel immense gratitude towards the warm reception it has received - a massive relief after months of labor and countless revisions along the rocky transition away from functionality and into something more personal and sincere. A heartfelt letter to an adolescence split between the wilderness of the Appalachian Mountains and the wild west of the early internet, two forms of escapism that had a stranglehold on me and my understanding of the world. I hope the absurdity of this combination permeates each and every material, rushing out to fill the gallery and all who step foot inside.
Thank you @broooohaha and @nueon for your patience and endless support. This show benefitted tremendously from your honesty and thoughtful feedback.
Thank you to @pioneerworks and all who came by my studio to witness these works in progress (and the many more that were abandoned).
Thank you Filip of @studio_speculo for CNC programming and @webbhunt@matthew.uebbing.studio@wakeupkobe and @harris.rosenblum for your incredibly generous time spent sanding these pesky critters.

cast aluminum, resin, nylon webbing
Posters for @wearebraindead@adidas collab. Very fun project that for one reason or another has attracted the scorn of vocal AI haters. I want to clarify that absolutely nothing here was AI generated, not that it ought to make a difference if it were. There is a new base line skepticism towards digital images, especially 3D rendered ones (which have historically had their craft dismissed or ignored) that makes it nearly impossible to engage with an image on its own merits. What's left behind once all aesthetics and labor are ignored for algorithmic daydreaming is pure content which, in this case, is an ad to sell shoes. Maybe AI skepticism has finally allowed people to put on their They Live glasses....
