new music video out now!! I made a music video with the love of my life @tamarafloresssss for her song Chingona in Acatlán, Veracruz – the town her mother grew up in. It was such a special shoot, not only meeting all her family in Mexico for the first time but also being welcomed so warmly by all the people from Acatlán and having the honor to shoot the video in this amazing and magical pueblo. We had a lot of time to explore the town, meet the people and plan all those crazy shots without any stress and pressure, a thing that’s really rare these days. And we did all that with the most amazing team, muchas graciasssss for all your sweat and love, it was the best experience!! The absolute legend @jomagrimaldo shot it so beautifully and introduced us to @cicatriz.tv who were absolute rockstars. The amazing dancers, all the people of the town stepping in front of the camera and everyone in the team giving their time, effort and care. Without you this beautiful little film wouldn’t exist. Looking back on exciting projects of 2025 and being excited about all the new adventures coming in 2026. I’m so grateful for being able to do this as a job. Meeting amazing people, seeing amazing places, creating amazing memories and visuals. Big love to everyone accompanying me on this path. This year I was in Mexico for the first time in my life, creating a music video with my love @tamarafloresssss and also meeting all her family and relatives there. Then going to @sxsw with my music video for @fosterthepeople . Having a blast at @camerimage.festival . Celebrating my mom’s 60th birthday with her. Making the new music video for @mikainstagram with my crew in Vienna. Shooting cool commercials, winning and losing pitches. Also (trying to) embrace the more difficult parts that remind me to also slow down in between. Times without projects longer than expected. An almost slipped disk. Picked up wood carving as a new hobby. And still trying to figure out life on a daily basis. Don’t forget to stop every once in a while to look at the sky and take a deep breath. "We tried to do as much in camera as we can, of course there is a lot of compositing but every part was shot in camera, nothing is a CG object. The rotating cog wheel was 3D-printed, sanded and colored and equipped with a motor, then we shot it turning in front of a green screen. The holes and walls Mika's face is looking through are cardboard cutouts. The big hand coming from above is my own (I love hands).
