Weeks posts
It’s been two weeks since the @lamarathon and I am finally posting to the grid. I wanted to hold these moments to myself for just a beat. Now sharing and memorializing the experience in anticipation of whatever comes next. In the meanwhile, celebrating 240 miles run in 2026 thus far including 26.2 on March 8! ✨ It was the best day and such a gift. I'm already quite nostalgic for 1) the day of vibes, electric! 2) the preparation & purpose of the weeks of training & 3) the support from my community and unexpected friendships formed along the way 💛 Giving a glimpse of my day through photos & videos, in chronological order 😎 Cover - Mile 10 near the Oscars / Hollywood Blvd! 2 - Team @walkgoodla arrives to Dodgers Stadium 3 - Pre race with @daoudaleonard who helped alley oop & my bib in late January 4 - Start line & first 2 miles with @colincarrier who first encouraged me to run LAM 5 & 6 - Mile 6 found Rocky & @mariapapathanasiou at Taix in Echo Park, then found and ran the next 5 miles with @daoudaleonard & @benwillis 7 & 8 - Mile 12 Zane and @liztariq at Sierra Bonita and Hollywood 9 & 10 - Mile 13 @fliyab & @xoaniko at Sweetzer and Fountain 11 - Mile 15 @mrflight finds me near West Hollywood 12 & 13 - Mile 22 @_.milssflores._ at San Vicente turnaround 14 - Finish line with a random fellow finisher 15 - Running into @p_lo & @cal_a pre Oakland marathon 16 - 19 - Post race @fitfrens 20 - Post @sunnongdan_sawtelle with my parents <3 Not captured: my parents at both Mile 8 and Mile 24 cheering me on with their Happy Runners crew <3

By luck and pure manifestation, I’m running the Los Angeles Marathon on March 8. It’ll be my fourth, but wow it feels like my first…. A year ago, I loved running the Miami Half Marathon. I had zero intention to work my way back to a full, but over the months that followed, the question stirred: could I really run a marathon again? Over the past 10 weeks, I prepared quietly, including weekend long runs through wildly different temperatures & altitudes across NYC, Miami, Amsterdam, SF, LA, Park City & Mexico City. These runs were a gift of endurance, accountability & radical self belief… I would run a marathon again. But which one? Timing made sense for the LA Marathon, but it sold out before I had the courage to register. I struggled to choose another. Then 2 weeks ago, by chance at a party at Sundance & the power of a strong network, a third door cracked open. I squeaked through. Honestly I don’t care so much about my pace but about the finish. I’m committed to running my personal best for me, and all the previous and future versions of me. While I’m doing this for me, I’d love to dedicate the miles to others. I’m raising funds for @walkgoodla , a local nonprofit creating equitable wellness spaces for health & healing in communities that need them most. I’ve personally felt their impact through their RunGood track nights at Coleman Stadium in Inglewood. Running alone is rewarding but running with others is really fun. If you feel called, I’d love to invite you to join me in contributing to WalkGood LA’s mission — perhaps a dollar per mile, or more or less, anything and everything counts. Message me for the fundraising link! Comment below your best song to run to, for the playlist of course. Save the date for Sunday 3/8 and DM for a Partiful link if you’d like to come cheer / commune. Thank you for being a witness to this journey. Let’s walk or run together soon <3 excerpt, longer post at the link — Substack, LinkedIn, Tumblr

Sunday in Utah… decided to not let the 6,000 ft elevation keep me from a weekend long run. 11 miles, handsomely rewarded with an hour in the wood barrel sauna & at home hot pot 💟 @victoriaesong @jdough422

5.3 sunrise miles with my mom with their T/Th run club. Dad walked & coached the cool down for the 10 ladies that came out — he hurt his back lifting 20 boxes after running 13.6 miles 10 days ago. They next run the Huntington Beach half on 2/1. Now we are at Panera bread where it’s their turn to treat the group to coffee, sandos & salad. I know we are their pride and joy, but clearly they are mine 😍 #runningryoos

coming back to this abandoned IG with a 14.7 mile run + a switch to @strava after 16 years on Nike Run Club. The auto build your own route feature alone was quite helpful for this afternoon into sunset from San Rafael to Larkspur to Corte Madera to Ross Valley and back. Day 881 of consecutive daily minimum 1 mile. Majestic Marin County ☀️🗻💘 “the only way out is through” 💆🏻‍♀️

Consecutive run 503, 13.27 miles, the most I’ve run in one go in nearly six years. Content with the decision to skip last weekends long run to get this further one done and faster. Started at 7:38am on Saturday morning with South Beach girlfriends. This week - friends and chosen family in LA are on my mind constantly and in every conversation. It’s unimaginable and yet the reality that the fires have burned down the proportional size of Manhattan or Miami 😭

day 490, another Sunday 10 miles, in the rain 🌧️ a minute slower per mile than last week to accommodate. From 79th street bridge to Normandy Isles (manatees!), Miami Beach at 71st & back. Run with @typoe after 7 months, happy to go double the distance from then at a slightly faster pace without stopping as much. It has been a journey and I am grateful for the minutes and miles 💆🏻‍♀️

consecutive run 476, I haven’t run 8 miles + since #1 July 2019 (SF 1/2), before that #2 August 2018 (LA with parents) and before that #3 December 2017 (by myself in Miami!). All three of these times were at least a minute or even two per mile slower than today. Way more disciplined runner now than then. Proud of myself 🌸🌸🌸
