I like to create stories in my head as a starting point when conceptualising & creative directing a shoot. It helps when the origin point is the clothes that then become the starting point of the story that unfolds into all aspects. And conversations go a long way. Just like the conversations between Masoom & I that led us to working with exceptional talents from across our country showcasing Indian craftsmanship, technique and design in unique ways, each one making it their own. Custom looks, sketches and then translating those designs into a shoot that we hope makes us look at Indian fashion and design in a fresh light. Our little effort to scratch only the tip of the iceberg.
