My princess moment
Throwback to a photoshoot at the #olddelhi #haveli a decade ago for a Hong Kong based magazine. Everything had just fallen into place, thanks to a brilliant team at @elementsprodn who made the magic happen.
Their brief to me was to come as you are. So I walked in wearing my own handcrafted katha saree, no makeup not knowing what they had planned. And it just fit perfectly with the sunlight filtering through the stained glass doors making the frame perfect.
This remains one of my most favourite photos till date. Sometimes it’s the experience and memories that make the moments special.
it is probably the only site of mine that my sister visited. And we had some fun moments posing with the owners and Vaibhav
We’ve worked with Pranoy and Devanshi for years, but working alongside them for their wedding was something truly special for us.
What stayed with us wasn’t just the décor, but the care, intention, and deep respect they show each other. Every decision was thoughtful, human, and rooted in love. Comfort was never an afterthought—from rethinking seating for elders without hesitation, to countless small details that prioritised people over spectacle. Everything felt generous, not just grand.
The spaces evolved constantly. What guests experienced at one event transformed by the next—even within the same venue. A suspended boat filled with bougainvillea, inspired by Pranoy’s proposal to Devanshi on a boat in Japan, became a deeply personal moment that didn’t need explanation. A kolam planned in white was reimagined overnight in sindoor, tracked down at dawn from a nearby village. And after a full night of celebration, every guest still showed up for the morning wedding—saying everything about how loved they are.
Devanshi and Pranoy, your thoughtfulness touched all of us. Your shaadi wali family wishes you a lifetime filled with love 🤍
Losing someone is never easy. Losing someone who’s been part of Elements Production since 2001 — part of our work, our everyday — is really, really hard.
Pravin wasn’t just a colleague. He was part of most of our projects. He wasn’t on the payroll, but you’d never know that. He gave his all — time, energy, heart — whether it was for big campaigns, personal projects, late-night research calls, post-production chaos, or simply when someone needed help.
He was selfless. Rarely said no. Always went the extra mile — for work, for people, or just to show up. No fuss. No ego. Just a steady, dependable presence.
Yes, there were arguments at times — and he could be stubborn about certain things — but the bond ran deeper than all of that. There was respect, trust, and a sense of shared journey that never wavered.
He came from a time when you knew every part of the job — casting, recce, production, post — and didn’t mind doing it all. And he did it with quiet pride.
He had dreams too — big ones. Of directing, of telling stories. One of those came to life in Ek Chitti — a tender film about how we’ve stopped writing letters to the people we love. It was his quiet way of reminding us to stay connected, to not lose the human touch.
He loved animals. He noticed people. He’d tip someone quietly because he respected effort, even in the smallest form. He was a big man with an even bigger heart.
Professionally and personally, this loss is immense. Life, as always, will move on. But it will be tough — impossible, really — to fill the space Pravin held.
He will be missed. Deeply.
