Some scans of my scrap book. I document memories and trips by gathering ephemera and photography to create collages in my notebook I got free in a vogue magazine a couple years ago.
It is one of my favourite activities, reminiscing and creating freely.
Pages documenting my holidays to Calgary, Banff, Whistler and Vancouver (Canada) and Verona (Italy)
The project I run for @csmgraphics ‘GCD PLAYLISTS’
I invite inspiring creatives to curate our course an hours worth of magic for us to listen to whilst we create.
Initially started 10 years ago by Katie Lambe, George Cranstoun and Jaap de Maat, I am now reviving the project. Here I share our first three guests.
A big thank you again to @jimmyturrell@augustynkaa and @oof_gallery
This visual concept is derived from the sentimental idea of the ‘mixtape’ and how we can bring it back in a modern day setting.
I source musical artefacts like cassette tapes, wired headphones, vinyls and more to photograph these still life compositions which make the ‘album covers’ for our playlists.
Pic 1, 6, 7 from a recent exhibition they featured in
Some pictures from the @collective_outout exhibition where I got to showcase my photography. I exhibited three album covers for @csmgraphics ‘GCD PLAYLISTS’, the project I run inviting inspiring creatives to curate our course a playlist for us to listen to whilst creating.
At the exhibition we had a DJ, drinks and everyone we love to celebrate our passion for music and going out.
I use musical artefacts like cassette tapes, wired headphones, vinyls and more to create classic still life inspired compositions.
For unit 7 on my @csmgraphics course we explored self portraits for our ‘Lens’ practise.
Shot on 35mm black and white film, I recreate my ‘first day of school’ with hair and outfit inspired by my baby photos.
The images are then manually collaged with a technical photography hand out leaflet.
The mini project represents ‘imposter syndrome’ when entering the creative industry and how the awkward uncertainty of the first day of school is all too familiar as I find my way in the creative field.
Concept, styling and creative direction by me!
Photographing on my 1970s canon film cam is @perera_design
I attended @designcentrech London Design Week and got the opportunity to listen to @timpagecarpets talk about their new collection with @jeanmonroprints
I took photos of the event on 35mm film.
All the talk of spring and florals inspired me to make these collages using the images I captured on my film camera in combinations with pictures I have taken of spring around me on my iphone.
Some cool pictures of old film and machines found in central saint martins media department.
Have spent the past month in there making my documentary about Billingsgate fish market for unit 7. That is coming soon, but for now enjoy these pics I took :)
A throw back to unit 3 of my @csmgraphics course.
A zine exploring the use of manual manipulation to explore an ethical issue important to us.
I chose to investigate animal rights in the meat industry to produce woven collages of advertisements and animal portraits.
Had the opportunity to shoot this mini film about the amazing @islingtonantiques
A big thank you to Paul and his amazing shop!
Go check it out and have a look round, you never know what you are going to find!
The university magazine I am the creative director for is out now! Our first issue (of hopefully many) went on sale at CSM and has been touring the @unioftheartslondon campuses this week!
Will be available online soon
Give it a read :)
