Iām so incredibly proud to finally share this campaign I directed for @women_inc with you.
Reimagining the ever so impactful āBloed, Zweet en Tranenā by Hazes, we gave new meaning to this classic by telling the story of people who menstruate. The pain, stress and societal pressure we feel to keep quiet when on our periods is so exhausting. Itās time (long overdue really) to end the silent suffering and open up the conversation with our surroundings. Breaking this stigma is so important in our wellbeing and everyday discrimination and misogyny we face.
A huge thank you to @thefamilyamsterdam and my amazing team at @vigics for your trust, to @sophiestraat for your powerful translation of such a cultural staple, and my amazing cast and crew. This project made me realize I want to make things like this for the rest of my career. #gewoongesteld
