Weaving Landscapes of Memory by Lisu Vega @lisuvega is an immersive art installation exploring time, perception, and personal history through the intersection of photography and textiles. The work interlaces photographic fragments from different moments with repurposed rope and translucent organza. Ten suspended textiles, each approximately 5 × 15 feet, form a connected landscape that responds to light and movement. Inspired by experiences of travel and transition, the installation approaches memory as an ever-evolving space. Curated by Rina Gitlin @rtcurated The installation will be on view at Miami Dade College Kendall Campus Gallery until March 19th, 2026. Art Miami Week is behind us, but the sculpture Estrella de Luz will continue to shine in Miami. Last Tuesday, we were honored to debut this blue-painted bronze work by internationally recognized Uruguayan artist Pablo Atchugarry. Special thanks to Ira Leesfield and his family, everyone at Piero Atchugarry Gallery, and The Underline’s incredible team for helping bring this project to life. You can visit Estrella de Luz in the Leesfield Garden on The Underline near 24th Avenue. #publicart #theunderline #pabloatchugarry #artcurator #artmiami #sculpture #artandculture #rtcurated #miamidadearts

It’s a wrap!!! After 20 months in the making, Alexandre Arrechea’s mural Milagros at the Temple of Abundance at The Underline’s Inter Grove Gallery is now a reality. This installation spans eight pillars, honoring his abuela (grandmother) while expanding beyond personal biography. A lazuline palette and abstracted vegetal motifs evoke nurturing, resilience, and cultural continuity, transforming the space into a shared site of reflection. The monumental scale invites viewers to consider personal and collective histories, memory, and empowerment through photographic engagement and creating one’s own experience. It’s been such a pleasure seeing this beautiful vision come to life. Thank you @alexandrearrechea , @lns_gallery , and our generous donors Bonnie Bernstein Dockter, Peter Dockter, Fernandez Family Foundation, and the Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Family Foundation for making this possible. It’s an honor to be part of @theunderlinemia ’s extraordinary team that is connecting and transforming the community.. . 🤍Three years ago today 🤍 There are projects that transform you, that stay alive in your heart forever. ÁMATE, my first large-scale installation, created in collaboration with curator Rina Gitlin @rtcurated was exactly that—an experience that opened new paths and continues to be rooted in our memory. Thanks to Piero Atchugarry Gallery @pieroatchugarrygallery for making this possible, and to Oolite Arts @oolitearts for the Ellies Award that gave me the support to bring this vision to life. My deepest gratitude also to ArtSeen @art.seen.365 for their guidance and programming, Nilo Verano @soundsofnilo for composing the music for AMATE and leading the sound healing ceremony, Alex Pineco @alexpineco for the engineering behind the tree @rudirepenning for his help with the bench and the many others who helped make this happen. Looking forward for a new opportunity for this beautiful tree to take root in a new space! Forever grateful for the opportunities I’ve had, and hopeful for the many more beautiful ones to come . 🌿 #AMATE #InstallationArt #Anniversary #Gratitude

Divergent Structure by Guillermo Garcia-Cruz, curated by Rina Gitlin is on view @pieroatchugarrygallery until March 1, 2025. /divergent-structure Divergent Structure is an installation that presents a parallel dimension where disjointed sculptural geometry reveals a landscape that intertwines the physical and digital realms. In this work, his most ambitious exploration beyond the canvas, Uruguayan-born Guillermo Garcia-Cruz examines the impact of technology on contemporary life through metaphor. He uses pillars of varying sizes to express strong contrasts between the organic and inorganic matter, as well as dynamic and static forms. #artmiami #rtcurated #artcurator #latinamericanart #artbasel #contemporaryart #artinstallation

“BETWEEN LATITUDES” LUJAN CANDRIA/MARINA GONELLA Curated by Rina Gitlin February 28 to April 18, 2024 Opening Reception: Wednesday February 28,2024 from 6:30-9:00 p.m. Collective 62 901 NW 62th St. Miami. FL 33150 Between Latitudes unfolds as an artistic dialogue between artists Lujan Candria and Marina Gonella, both originally from Buenos Aires and now residents of Miami. The artists blend natural scenes from their contemporary surroundings with those from their memories of home. They use photography, video, painting, and textiles to bring to life the intertwined experience of living in two places at the same time. Through this exhibition, Candria and Gonella provide a glimpse into their minds, where blurred memories surface and fade intermittently, reminding them of the places they left behind. Simultaneously, their artwork displays how they assimilate their new environments into their identities. This exhibition offers an interpretation of the delicate balance between honoring their roots and establishing new ones. @marinagonella @lujancandria @thecollective62 @rtcurated #artmiami #womenartists #artcurator #miami #collective62 #rtcurated
