Leander took the lead to Fawley, but as Rowing Canada fought back the race was bow ball to bow ball approaching the Enclosures. Une pionnière accompagnée de sa successeure. L'une a pris part en 1976 aux premiers Jeux Olympiques ouverts aux femmes en aviron. La seconde se prépare pour les prochains jeux qui se tiendront à Los Angeles en 2028. Guylaine Bernier et Marilou Duvernay-Tardif portent ensemble cette flamme qui brûle depuis 50 ans.
