Fig JAAMs 1: Rowhan, an established staple within the Sydney scene running notable parties such as Extract the Motion and Intertwined Recordings always featuring an all star lineup. Rowhan sits us down making us rethink our life choices and relocates us into boogie town.

Gadigal born with Chinese roots, mi.key’s sets balance dynamic synths and techno with warehouse breaks and thumping basslines. Between playing at some of Sydney’s biggest venues and a myriad of underground raves and festivals, supporting the likes of dameeeela, Moopie, Luen and Sleep D, he’s confident in getting the crowd moving. As he readies an EP release this year, watch out for unreleased tracks being tested on soundscapes near you.
Founder of newly launched Eora based label Intertwined Recordings and one of the minds behind Extract The Motion, Rowhan is well versed as a selector of all sounds. With foundations in 90’s tech house that developed into an unapologetic appetite for gritty breaks and bass, he’s known for his ability to thread the needle across genres and soundscapes thus making a name for himself as a complete all-rounder. His production reflects this.

Tasting notes:
🍷 Plush, dense, and textural – just like the track’s layered groove, which moves with weight and grace, wrapping the listener in velvet rhythms.
🍷 The tannins are soft yet concentrated – echoing the track’s percussive elements: subtle, but with a tight grip that drives momentum forward.
🍷 A long, powerful finish that lingers – much like the euphoric build and release, this is a slow burn that rewards patience with pure dancefloor bliss.
Overall, Weedwhacker is an ode to the flavour of 90s tech house with hints of Italo disco – nostalgic, transportive, and impossible to sip just once.
We’ll be bringing this track out of our cellar and onto the shelves for your consumption on 4/20. Stay tuned for updates.
