A Mother’s Day wildlife post of Moms and babies post from over the years. Pretty much cover a lot of zones here, little Africa, US, central and South America. All this does is get me pumped to plan more and more trips to go on!
1991 NSA Vert Regionals at McGills Skatepark. More expert level old footage to identity riders. This one is so hard I don’t even know 2 of them! The 2 guys in white shirts I can’t recognize. The rest are hard for most but if you lived thru this era you should figure it out. I’ll post the ones I know later but will gladly accept answers on the 2 guys in white shirts (1st and 5th skaters in here).
I’ve got a free pair of shoes to anyone who can name all these skaters in this video. This would be like the hardest final boss level 1991 skate nerd difficulty. Let the guessing begin!!!!! CASL 1991 Murphy Canyon San Diego
Big pants, big hair and tiny wheels. This is 1993 in a nutshell. Homie video parts are where almost all of my best footage ended up I think. This was peak when you could go to Ramona or AT&T and find me and any of the @508_archives crew there skating @danny_montoya@chillrobgee@dennisbellew@markniznisbet and many others. Still skating the DMV to this day tho! @bail.gun.gary@hersk check the footy of the DMV boys.
Re-edit of an old homie video part from 1991-1992. Poaching the Lotti song as I’m sure at this stage all I was doing was trying to replicate Now N Later lines from him. This was right when we learned switch flips and switch frontside flips, hence the basic ass flatground lines. This was a HEAVY curb stage with a lot of double sider pop overs being learned also.
Quick break from the skate footy for some 🐍 and 🦇 photos from Australia over thanksgiving a few weeks back. Got some fun finds of the diamond pythons, death adder, red bellied black snake and then the flying foxes in Sydney. Didn’t find as much as I wanted but definitely had a good time searching for what we did find.
Continuing with the Powell SkateZone footage, here’s @willysantos absolutely killing it. @frank_lucky73 ‘s head is in the way for 2 hip tricks, backside flip fakie and front 270 but how about the half cab back foot flip! Epic stuff. And a bonus 👋 from @chrissenn at the end for fun.
Here’s some more gold from the 1992 Powell contest. @ed.templeton killing it. Even if someone’s head gets in the way of tricks! Front noseblunt up the extension to start and a perfect impossible tailgrab ruined the footage, but you still got gems in here to enjoy. This would be around the era of 1281 New Deal Ed from the trick selection. Always a favorite of mine!
@johncardiel from the same 1992 POW Wow at Powell event I posted yesterday during his early @blacklabelskates days. Bonus crowd pan at the end of his first run. So many heads! I spy @crailtap@furrycalamari@pizzanista a young @jeronwilson@guymariano and @jasonlee in their Video Days era and so many more. Cardiel’s front shifty front 180 over the pyramid is so sick. Merry Christmas Eve!
Been a while since I posted any footage I filmed from this 1992 contest at the Powell SkateZone. Got a few runs to put up but this @wadespeyer run is still so epic. Him and Gonz both did the front pivot on the big 16ft wall to start their runs. Cracks me up that the only thing Wade bails is a switch 180 on flat. This was my all time favorite skatepark. Full pads in a contest was mandatory, it truly was a bummer for us all.
There wasn’t a whole lot more fun than heading to someone’s house with a perfect mini ramp, diagonal ply Masonite and skating in the 90’s. Seemed like we had a ton of options then, this one being Rocky’s ramp in Lakewood around 1995 or so. Thanks for sending me this line @markniznisbet I’m not sure I ever saw this footage of me til today.
