@archdigest baby! 🙌🏽 I’ve long been a fangirl of famed architect Wallace Neff (often called the originator of California’s “golden age” of design and architecture in the 1920s and 30s), so when the homeowners approached me to collaborate with them on their 1925 Wallace Neff home in the hills of Los Feliz, I was all in. The remodel and careful restoration of this home took a little over a year, and my reverence for it meant doing everything the “right” way. Hiring artisans to painstakingly rebuild and replicate every detail of the original doors and windows rather than replacing them, salvaging original features like the incredible handmade door hardware with handles that look like exquisite feathers (last slide), and being sure that any new features we added, like the arched bookshelves (built by @rossalanreclaimed ) and the re-designed fireplace, look as though they may have been a part of Neff’s original vision. More photos and details to come! I hope you enjoy exploring and getting to know this special home as much as I did. All accessories, art, and upholstery are from my own line @cladhome of course :) And just about everything else you see is vintage or custom. EDITS: I neglected to list Eunisses Hernandez for LA City Council District 1. She’s a YES! And after hearing from you I’m adding Hunter Miranda as a YES for CA House of Representatives 47. And I mis-typed Isaac Bryan’s district as AD 54 when it’s really AD 55. . I hope this is helpful! Please share freely. Remember that you can still register to vote until this Monday, May 18th. Encourage everyone you can to do so! Voting ends on June 2. Vote in person or drop your ballot at a polling location (avoid using USPS) before June 2. . These recommendations are the result of weeks of research, and of choosing a strategic approach to making my vote count in the most meaningful way for each individual race. This means that for CA governor I won’t be casting a symbolic protest vote for @butchware , no matter how much I love his platform, because I can’t risk allowing two MAGA republicans to advance to the general election in November. The same is true of @raeforla - I love her positions but I’m choosing to strategically vote for @nithyaforthecity because she’s the most viable candidate. . In other races that I know have less perilous consequences, I’ve chosen to cast a “protest vote” in order to help move the needle and the conversation to the left. This make sense when faced with a centrist Democrat who isn’t all that progressive but is favored to win, or who is running unchallenged - in these cases I have chosen either the more progressive (albeit possibly unelectable) candidate in order to push the conversation to the left (like Bernie has successfully done in all of his bids for president) OR I’ll withhold my vote altogether if the dem running has no opponent and/or does not deserve my vote (this is why I’ve made no recommendation in some races.) . I hope this approach makes sense to you! My goal for us all is to wield the power of our vote more like a scalpel than a sledgehammer. There are ways to be strategic, and it’s not a “one size fits all” approach. Feel free to ask me questions about these recommendations, or about other down ballot races not listed here. I’ll do my best to answer.

Please refrain from voting until towards the end of May to avoid a MAGA takeover of California! And when you do turn in your ballot, don’t trust the US mail. Be sure to drop it off directly at a polling location or in one of the designated ballot drop boxes located around the city. You can still register to vote until May 18! Final day to vote or drop off your ballot is June 2. #lavoterguide #californiaprogressivevoter #californiaprogressivevoterguide #laprogressivevoterguide #californiavoterguide

14 years ago today my son was born. This boy who I love more than I can even comprehend. The SAME way that mothers EVERYWHERE - from my heart, to Gaza, to Iran - love their children. My heart aches with love for my boy today, and with pain for the parents who have buried their children, sacrificed on the altar of US and Zionist imperialism. This cannot stand. THE MOTHERS wont let it. We will change the fucking world, for them, because we have no choice left. I read something on the day this week that America and Israel bombed an elementary school in Iran, killing almost 200 children in one strike, and it touched me deeply: “Do you understand what it takes to make a life? Forty weeks, sickness, pain, blood, bone built from your own body. A heart you grew from scratch next to your own. Sleepless years, keeping that child alive, feeding, rocking, guarding, teaching, speaking love into little ears and telling them they are safe, even when we bite back our tears because we don’t actually know. And then a warlord presses a button from a room, and all of it is gone. The girl learning at her desk. Gone. A lifetime of creating, the mother waiting, with arms that will remain searching and yearning for the rest of her days. The warlords have never created life, yet they claim the right to destroy it. Over and over. Century after century. They call it security, defense, necessary. They call it ‘epic’ as if there is something ‘epic’ about a mother who will forever wait for her child to come home.” ~ Daphne Delvaux (@themamattorney )

There have been many different versions of our Clad Home holiday party over the years, but this prohibition-era speakeasy bowling alley in a cool old LA neighborhood has always been one of our favorites. I’m feeling so grateful to be closing out the year with this team of committed, kind, and thoughtful people who really care, and it REALLY shows. We began the year by transforming our showroom into a mutual aid hub to support our community during the catastrophic LA fires, and ended it by raising thousands of dollars (together with you!) to feed and shelter families in Gaza. And in between all of that we continued to build your new family heirlooms - beautiful and ethical furniture that is made to last. Thank you for your continued love and support. What we do here works mostly because YOU get it, and you continually choose to support a brand that strives to do things right, no cutting corners. Here’s to more community, more integrity, more connection and authenticity in 2026. May we all come together to build a better world. Happy holidays from our family to yours 🫶🏽🎄✨ XO, Rosa

I lucked into delivering my mother-in-law to @unionstationla on a recent quiet morning, which gave me a chance to wander around and savor every gorgeous detail. In a city not always known for protecting our historic architecture, I’m really proud of how beautifully maintained Union Station still is. It’s a treasure. #unionstationla #artdecoarchitecture #losangeles #losangelesarchitecture #architecture #artdeco #artdecostyle #unionstation #launionstation
