Rootystep (Stand High Records) et Stepart (Hologram Records) s’unissent en ROOTY-STEP-ART pour un back to back explosif. Deux artisans du dub moderne, entre reggae et bass music futuriste.
ROOTYSTEP (Stand High Records)
Sélecteur et co-fondateur de Stand High Patrol, Rootystep est une figure clé de la scène dub française. Architecte de la sélection, il tisse des liens millimétrés entre styles et bpm, mêlant reggae, dub digital, hip hop et bass music, le tout relevé de dubplates exclusives.
STEPART (Hologram Records, Stand High Records, A89 Records)
Dub builder méticuleux, Stepart construit des ponts entre reggae, dub et musique électronique. Ingénieur du son et producteur prolifique, il signe des sorties sur plusieurs labels et développe son label hologram Records. En live, ses productions maison et ses dubplates font vibrer n’importe quel dancefloor.
NRS
Le crew revendique une sélection libre, guidée par le groove plutôt que par les étiquettes. Reggae, dub, bass music: chaque set est taillé pour le système son et le dancefloor. Co-organisateur des soirées Home Sweet Dub et aux commandes de la série Midnight Skankers avec Les Nuits Blanches du Ferrailleur, NRS affirme chaque année un peu plus sa place sur la scène dub nantaise et au-delà.
Guru Pope
Depuis 2015, Guru Pope promène son sax sur les sound systems du monde entier, aux côtés de crews et producteurs comme Blackboard Jungle, Zulu Vibes ou Wicked & Bonny. Improvisations inspirées, nappes cuivrées sous delay et énergie live intense: il fait voyager le public du stepper aux instrumentaux hip hop, toujours guidé par le groove.
