The record is an exercise in teasing out what’s not yet there. It’s an image of a process of working with the recordings of quotidian sounds and scenes, folding and stretching them through musical fabulation. After many iterations, folding and stretching, rolling and unrolling, they arrive somewhere completely uncharted yet strangely familiar.

@ooopze@kolemulen and I had a wonderful conversation with @ievagud about our work together as @rollingunrolling some weeks back. It evolved around a theme of ‘care’ - care for listening, care for the event and how sounds themselves seem to want to edge towards something more.
Really excited for this to air tomorrow (june 8th) as part of the @soundinaction series. It’s a rare bit of insight into what we’re doing most of the time hehe.

The work and thought of Arakawa & Gins is wrapped all throughout the fuites website and collective. We were so excited when AGxKansai asked us to make a video for their conference. In it, we explore A&G’s concept of ‘landing sites’ in relation to propositions for collective digital spaces.
