Last Friday, Lael Wilcox rolled up to ROKA HQ — finishing her first-ever fully supported training ride through the Southwest desert. She faced 144 miles of straight headwinds, desert dust storms that turned the sky grey, 37,000 feet of climbing, and Texas Hill Country heat. She kept going.
This was a critical test run: building out her crew, dialing in logistics, and proving to herself that the goal is real. The finish line at ROKA was the perfect ending — tacos, cold drinks, and a warm welcome from the community.
