Crashing the ultra endurance party, the SARANA has only just been released, but it has already won TRAKA 560 and ridden halfway across Canada in nine days. But it’s not just a bike for the likes of Factor Racing’s Victor Bosoni and Rob Britton. Its intelligent geometry, smart storage, and versatility, typified by the ability to run a rigid or suspension fork without impacting the handling, make the SARANA an ideal option for everyone from beginner to bonkers ultra rider.

Taking the biggest win of her career on the hardest mountain climb in the European peloton, Petra Stiasny’s victory at the top of the Angliru came as a huge surprise to nearly everyone, except those who know just how exceptional a climber she really is. Riding her Factor O2 VAM, she dropped all the strongest general classification competitors to win spectacularly solo.
It’s hard winning bike races. When riders who rarely win, take a big win ahead of the best in the world, it makes it all the sweeter. And when that happens on a Factor that has been developed and designed for that exact use scenario, it makes the whole Factor team very proud to see such an emphatic proof of product.
This wasn’t the first time that has happened, and it won’t be the last. But it may have been the most breathless. Herzlichen Glückwunsch, congratulations to Petra Stiasny and the whole Human Powered Health team.
Every Factor begins with a question of performance. For the SARANA we asked: How can a race bike stay fast when the rider is too exhausted to think about speed? The speeds, durations, and demands of ultra racing were unlike anything Factor had worked to optimise before, yet the principles were the same as every racing bike we’ve ever made: efficiency, responsiveness, control.
With the SARANA, the only thing holding you back will be the limits of your imagination.
TRAKA 560. Unbound XL. Transcordilleras. Atlas Mountain Race. Just a few of the types of events that the new Factor SARANA has been designed to tackle. Engineered to redefine speed, control, and efficiency over the longest distances and across the most demanding mixed terrain, the SARANA is built for riders pushing the limits of modern gravel racing.
When the days bleed into night and the ride still goes on, that’s when the SARANA will come into its own. Stay fast. Keep control. Even when you’ve lost all sense of proportion and the only thing that matters is the rhythm of the turning pedals.
From April 27th to May 3rd, Girona once again becomes the global hub for endurance cycling as “FACTOR GIRONA WEEK 2026” brings together racers, community riders, and partners for a week of riding, storytelling, and connection.
As our European home, Girona plays a big part in the Factor story. With Traka taking place the weekend of May 1st, we want to use the opportunity to welcome as many athletes and partners as possible to join us in the celebration of the ultra endurance spirit. We will be holding a special community ride on April 29th and lots more besides at multiple locations throughout the Girona region.

Belgian artist, VEXX, has developed a signature style defined by energy, density, and controlled chaos, three attributes that aptly describe the visceral nature of Paris-Roubaix. Jumping into the pandemonium of the race, VEXX was able to experience one of the wildest days on the season’s calendar, watching his design raced by Factor teams, Modern Adventure Pro Cycling and Human Powered Health.
At the end of the day, the sheer emotion and crippling fatigue from the effort proved once again why the Hell of the North is one of those terrible days on a bike that every professional dreams of experiencing. It will remain a day seared into our collective memory.

I designed this bike for @factorbikes and it will make its racing debut at… Paris-Roubaix aka “Hell of the North”, one of the most prestigious bike races in the world! 🚵♂️ #ad
As a Belgian, growing up surrounded by cycling culture, this collaboration feels extra special to me. Watching Tour de France & Ronde van Vlaanderen as a child left a lasting impression on me that informed my design for this project.
