YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST 🗣️ Yesterday St. George Council Member @kamillahmhanks posted this comment which has cemented her commitment to our proposal for a new Skatepark in St. George, Staten Island, New York City. She escalated the project through capital funding allocating $5 Million for this undertaking and to say we are ecstatic to see things moving along would be an understatement. We have all worked tirelessly to make this a reality, and without the support of our community none of this would even be possible. Thank you so much to @richmondhoodco for cultivating our partnerships with @kamillahmhanks , @nycparks , & @nycedc to make this dream come to life 🥹 We’ve known about this for quite some time but there hasn’t been any official announcements on the logistics of everything just yet. Go Skateboarding Day 2025 on Staten Island is a wrap and it’s safe to say we can scratch it off our Bucket List. It was an amazing time at the Block Party which opened with a Sound Bath Mediation led by @lexi_aguilar_luna for a calm meditative start to the day. Shortly after, DJ @iceboxintl sparked the vibes powered by a large solar panel donated by @livesolarnyc . After setting up the ramps the music got the volunteers hyped to test the course. Kids started pouring in and @skatetoelevate held a free community class with rental boards where beginners were given lessons by @rojaskillsit . Just as the group started to wind down after a solid session @pressurepaintnyc pulled up just in time with their box truck for some legal graffiti! While everything else was in motion, the line for @richmondhoodco was wrapped around the block for a Meet & Greet with @redmangilla to promote his new album. They had the shop open with newly dropped @kestgak collab decks and a Sneaker Sale!! How does it get any better than that? Everyone supported their local skate shop, had such a memorable time, and kept spirits high in the streets just how Go Skate Day was meant to be 💚 📸: @caughtbycase & @stephenesguerra

Skating the Brooklyn Banks today brought back so many memories 🥹

This year’s 4/20 weekend is a wrap & it will be a memory that lasts a lifetime. We were blessed with the oppurtunity to collaborate with @richmondhoodco , @clearlyfaded , & @skateac for two back-to-back events that has garnered more awareness of our advocacy for new Skateparks on Staten Island. Both days we hosted “Best Trick” and “Ca$h for Tricks” contests unveiling a surprise roulette wheel where skaters could gamble for additional prize money on a variety of tricks (and we even added a spot for 20 push-ups 🤭) The weekend ended off with a bang at @highstonedispensary that included a performance from @jadakiss featuring @funkflex , and @nems_fyl . We had the best time of our lives and it was great to vibe out with everyone that pulled up. Your constant support is so appreciated and motivates us to continue bringing you one-of-a-kind experiences. @ny1 covering our event at Fresh Kills Park in Staten Island back in October 2024 to develop a new Skatepark at that location. We have been advocating long & hard for this so seeing this kind of progress hits so different. The energy & love we felt throughout the entirety of that day is unforgettable and it was amazing to see everyone coming together to make an impact in our community. We will continue to work on projects that create more safe spaces for people to express themselves however they choose and provide resources to those who feel marginalized. We will not backdown until we see this through, and we hope that our passion for these projects shine through. Thank you @richmondhoodco for speaking on our collaborative effort & supporting our vision from day 1. None of this would be possible without the contributions of our community which we give everything to see flourish. Everybody’s collective efforts make this special for everyone involved, and we are more appreciative than words can ever express 🫶🏾

As 2024 comes to a close we wanted to reflect on all the things we were able to accomplish this year thanks to the help of our community. 1. We partnered with @labodega_skateshop in Manta, Ecuador in the beginning of the year stocking our shirts in their shop, & finally putting together an unforgettable event in their city sponsored by @drinkarizonaskate . 2. Through our projects we have advocated for new skateparks in Staten Island, Brooklyn, & Ecuador. 3. Offered Skate Lessons to new students. 4. @leoheinert & the @haroldhunterfoundation launched their “Rider Development” program that brought skateboarders into the streets of NYC to film for a video entitled “Collaboration of the Boroughs” that we were involved in. 5. We collaborated with our local skate shop @richmondhoodco & @drinkarizonaskate to throw our first ever “Cash for Trick$” contest in @freshkillspark to aid in the addition of a new skatepark in their space. 6. We were involved in the organization of “She Shredz” hosted by @iridescentpools which is the first female-led skate event held in Staten Island. Through these initiatives we were able to create beautiful memories that brought impactful change to our communities. It is with everyone’s continuous contributions that we are able to grow, & work on the things we are most passionate about. None of this would be possible without you, & we appreciate it more than you’ll ever know.
