Saturday’s ECS Masterclass with Rohan Bhargava, “Desi Flow,” invited dancers into a rich fusion of Contemporary, Bhangra, Bollywood, Floorwork, and Street Jazz. The session began with a holistic warm-up designed to break down the mechanics of transitioning into, out of, and around the floor — building awareness, efficiency, and dynamic control. From grounded textures to expansive phrases, the class emphasized discovering a continuous, embodied flow within the body.
There was power. There was precision. There was play.
As the second-to-last installment of our ECS Series 2026, this masterclass felt like both a celebration and a deepening — a reminder of the versatility and connectivity that movement offers across styles and traditions.
We close the series this Saturday with Laura Peralta’s “Flamenco, Demystified.” Participants will explore foundational movement patterns, percussive footwork, and core rhythmic structures, with historical and cultural context woven throughout to ground the form in its musical origins. No prior experience necessary — just curiosity and a willingness to move.
