For several years and time and time again we have asked Christian Jansson if we could set up a show with Gothenburg’s thrash heroes @pagandom_official , and of course we also asked now for Suicide Records Fest.
In late February 2026 Martin Carlsson founder member of Pagandom passed away. (RIP) we realized that Pagandom was put to rest.
But the band decided to play one final show in his honor. So get your ticket and we all will be there and pay tribute to the band and Martin.
Formed in 1987 the Gothenburg thrashers made a huge impact on some teens who would later be in bands like At The Gates, In Flames and Dark Tranquillity.
Released some legendary demo tapes between 1989 and 1992, and three albums (Crushtime 1994, Hurt As A Shadow 2016 and Ashes 2021).
In the wake of founding member Martin Carlsson´s passing, Pagandom will play in his honor at Suicide Records Fest. This will be their very last show.

Stronger Than Ever
As many of you know, some of the heavy hitters on the label side of things are now run by bigger corporate conglomerates. There are pros and cons to this business structure, as we all know, as well as a learning curve as the once independent labels join forces with “the bigger fish”. This ultimately always results in big changes, for better or worse.
We’ve seen some big shifts in 2025 with some of these labels dropping a lot of artists as they restructure and grow. This wasn’t restricted only to artists being dropped, but also to staff.
So, what to do when a company you’ve been working with for years decides to drop you or they no longer need or want you? Is this the end of life as you know it?
Hell no! There are plenty of independently run labels out there that do things their own way and who are often looking for new and established talent. And what if your dream label doesn’t exist yet? Then why not start one yourself? Is it better to be a little fish in a big sea? Or do you prefer being a big fish in a little sea?
As our industry is ever-changing, it’s important to remember that a major label isn’t the be-all, end-all of your career. Independent labels never went out of style, but they are on the rise as more and more artists are looking for different kinds of structures based on their needs.

For 20 years, Suicide Records has been a steady part of the underground in Sweden, later expanding the network outside of the borders.
A label built on stubbornness, integrity, and not wanting to compromise. For two decades, Suicide Records have been releasing records because they are great and they felt right — not because of trends, not because of numbers, not because of what was expected.
To mark this, Suicide Records Fest – 20 Years Of Resistance, will take place!
A two-day gathering focused on music, community and simply keeping the resistance alive.
This isn’t about nostalgia or looking back too much, this is about standing by the same ideas that have always driven the label.
The fest brings together bands that, in different ways, are connected to Suicide Records and have been part of shaping its journey and versatile catalog.
Together, these bands show the range of what Suicide Records has been all about over the years — from hardcore and crust to doom, sludge, and extreme metal. Different sounds, same mindset: independence, resistance, and a strong link to the metal and punk community .
Suicide Records Fest is more than just a celebration. It is a thank you to all the bands, all the releases, all the shows, and all of YOU people who have kept this going for 20 years.
Proof that resistance can be long-term.
This is our statement. This is our resistance. This is our heart.
20 years. Same ideas. Still underground.
