From overcoming personal struggles to pursuing a future in psychology, Gabriela is determined to make a difference in her community. Through dual enrollment at Temple University and a passion for mental health advocacy, she’s working toward becoming a licensed therapist who people can truly rely on.
"Psychology has been a passion of mine since freshman year. When I first started seeking resources for my own depression, like counseling and therapy, I was introduced to perspectives I had never considered. Over the years, that support transformed me into a person I never thought I could be. In my environment, mental health issues aren't just a "teenager problem," they affect people of every age. I want to be the person who changes someone's perspective when they feel like they’re fighting alone. "
With support from the Pathways to Success Scholarship, Gabriela is building a future focused on independence, opportunity, and breaking cycles for the next generation. Donate today at the link in our bio.

Next, we’re excited to hear from our students and families, making sure their voices help shape what comes next before we share an updated version in June.
Music has always been a bridge at Rock to the Future, helping students navigate pathways to success. Give today and double your impact! Link in bio.
Through music, students build confidence, discipline, teamwork, and self-expression. The impact doesn’t stop with music, our students also receive tutoring, academic advising, college and trade school preparation, professional development, and individualized support to help them achieve their goals.
The result? 100% of MusiCore grads move on to college or trade school.
“ I went from someone who wasn't sure on what to do after high school to not even a year later, knowing exactly what I'll do and where I'll go. They also gave me the confidence I didn't know I needed that led to me being more creative in school and in my at home life. My main goals for my life and community is to grow. I've managed to buckle down and put school first, and apply to schools. I've made a plan.” — Rock to the Future Graduating Senior
