Some BTS snaps from Rochefort Pictures’ debut short film ‘Hang Me, Oh Hang Me’. Inspired by Dave Van Ronk’s haunting rendition of the folk song ‘Hang Me, Oh Hang Me’, the film is set in early 1900s America and follows a Vagabond and a Runaway on the trail of an Old Man in the dying days of the old west. Shot on a rare @kodak_shootfilm  Super 16mm anamorphic format which captures the textured, widescreen feel of 1960s Techniscope westerns. The Snowy Mountains/Monaro region of NSW offered a stunning and rugged backdrop for the film. A big thanks to Mick for roping me in for sound. I felt fortunate to be a part of a phenomenal team dedicated to the art of analog filmmaking. The first BTS stills from Rochefort Creative’s debut short film ‘Hang Me, Oh Hang Me’. Inspired by Dave Van Ronk’s haunting rendition of the folk song ‘Hang Me, Oh Hang Me’, the film is set in early 1900s America and follows a vagrant and a runaway on the trail of a man from the dying days of the old west. We were lucky to shoot in the Snowy Mountains/Monaro region of NSW — a stunning, rugged backdrop that gave us incredible weather and atmosphere. More importantly, we were surrounded by an exceptional crew who came together to make something truly special. Shot on a rare @kodak_shootfilm Super 16mm anamorphic format, the film captures the textured, widescreen feel of 1960s Techniscope westerns. We can’t wait to share this one with you — follow along for updates: @rochefortpictures Director - @theenzogonzalez Producer - @mickjohnno Cinematographer - @bill_wush AD - @adiraaaaj 1st AC - @hiruni.film HMU/SFX - @lara.goyen_makeup Sound - @domkerschsound Gaffer/LX - @kyanpfilm That Guy - @tim.allsop_ Catering - Vicky and David Bush And the uber talented Adam Buncher, @jonaherofeyeff and Paul Gerrard as our Vagabond, Runaway and Old Man.
