Yesterday saw the first visit to the bunker by Aarian Mehrabani.
Aarian is a multi award winning writer and comedian. Best known for Co-Writing the smash hit play “It’s A MotherF**king Pleasure”, in which he also played the roll of Ross.
His debut stand up hour, “How’s Your Head?” has been commissioned by the Lowry and will premier at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2026.
He trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama on the BA Acting (Collaborative and Devised Theatre) course. Since graduating, he co-founded the multi-award-winning theatre company FlawBored. Their debut show, IT’S A MOTHERF**KING PLEASURE, which Aarian co-wrote and performs in, has received widespread critical and commercial acclaim. Premiering at Vaults Festival in 2023, the show quickly transferred to Soho Theatre, won the Untapped Award, and completed a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe that same year. It garnered numerous five-star reviews, and Aarian, along with the three other writers, was named one of The Stage’s “Fringe Five” artists who smashed the Fringe.
Since then, the show has enjoyed a three-week run off-Broadway and toured to Washington DC, Boston, and the Southbank Centre.
Aarian is currently working on their second show with the Royal Court, in addition to several TV projects, including the TV adaptation of IT’S A MOTHERF**KING PLEASURE with Hat Trick productions.
He is set to appear in the Channel 4 Drama “Hunting Alice Bell” as Darius.
We had a fantastic time experimenting with light in the studio and this is one of my favourite shots - straight out the back of the camera! @aarian.m@roc2studios
Don't normally share gig photos, but David Byrne, - left-field pop maestro, artistic seer, all round genius with his amazing troupe, performing songs from his latest album, but also from Talking Heads albums some of us grew up with and grew from, - songs from Fear of Music and Remain In Light, resurrected with power and meaning. I also got lucky with the seat!

Attended a meeting / presentation at this very cool venue in Cardiff this week, arranged by @cymrugreadigol titled “The Welsh Score”. Under discussion were subjects covering sync for film, tv and games, ensuring placement for Welsh language and Wales based music. We were able to give a shout out for Wrexham and N. East Wales based artists and there will be news on a new database called “Sinc” for presenting new and old works for potential sync deals.
Thanks to Matt from @coldwarsynths for making the journey too, to @thecanopicardiff for being perfect hosts and to Cymru Greuadigol / Creative Wales for the vision and for the invitation

It's reaching one year since the release of Lemonade, and we're still so proud of this single and the subsequent video we self-produced!
The track was born from a collaboration back in May 2024 between @roc2studios & @focuswales to support artists to develop their productions skills over a three day course.
Funnily, it will always be the single that was never supposed to happen, as I was never meant to be on this production course. Back in May 2024, I was called by Steve the evening before its start as someone had dropped out last minute. I wasn't really sure I could manage it as I had worked myself to burnout and I needed some rest days. Feeling rough and anxious, I deliberated, but decided to go anyway. I'm so glad I dragged myself there, as it resulted in one of my favourite artist collabs and singles. I'm not one for fate, yet, it felt as though it were meant to be.
Working with Eady was ace!. We laughed, spoke tea and bounced off of eachothers creativity. Her voice is up there with the best for me, and without doubt no one else could have done this track justice. From production bones on bandlab, to feminist anthem. A bilingual, no sh*ts given type of blowout which received so much love from BBC Radio Wales via Adam Walton and Bethan Elfyn, thank you 🫶🏻
The only thing I regret is not having more time, as I know we could have easily pumped out several bangers. Though I'm sure we'll have more fruit for you in future 🍋
