🪦 WIGGLIN' THROUGH THE GRAVEYARD 🪦 We're currently halfway through our Small Brands Line, and what better small brand to pay homage to than the one and only @petespigs ! Pete's been inspiring me to make decks for almost 5 years now, and this is possibly my best replica yet! I wanted to get some variation with shapes, sizes, and molds throughout the Small Brands Line, and somehow I've never made a coffin shape like this before, but I'm incredibly pleased with the result! This deck is nice and skinny and pressed on the flat mold, so you can really dig in and do some deep carves! I recommend using 26mm trucks with super soft bushings on this one to really bring out the surf skate feeling 🤙 And check out the killer artwork too! It seems as if every deck we make has more ambitious art than the last, and this is no exception. With a combination of markers and lino ink, this deck really pops in the sunlight! 🩸🫀 GUTTED 🫀🩸 Here's our latest savage creation, and the first to come out of our up and coming Music Line, the Creature x Cannibal Corpse Meat Hook! I don't think I need to explain why this one is awesome but I will anyway! Easily one of my most favourite decks to date, me and @theholybible20 tried as hard as we could to make this deck as brutal and disgusting as we possibly could. The shape took 4 days to fully sand and refine, but my god was it worth it! 😍 I made sure not to sand the points of the hooks too so they're actually sharp when you run your fingers down them 🤘 Tried my best to drill the cutout into the tail which came out quite well I think! And despite the heavy hit to Blake's mental health after drawing this graphic, I think he's really smashed it out of the park with this album cover! I've been meaning to make a Manak deck for many years now, ever since the Braille video came out where they looked into the process of making a skateboard. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've watched that video while pressing decks, it inspires me every time! This deck's nice and simple, just a plain old 32mm popsicle which suits all types of fingerboarding! We've been experimenting with different ways of creating graphics recently, so this one features our very first gradient graphic! 🥩 GRILLED TO PERFECTION 🥩 Here's one I've been meaning to make for years now, the Schmitt Stix Joe Lopes BBQ! Inspired by @joedlamb 's extensive collection of NOS BBQ's, this deck has it all! (apart from a top graphic but we'll ignore that 😬). The shape was super difficult to get right, with the shovel nose and money bumps proving to be especially difficult to get symmetrical, but after a good few hours of refinement, we got there! And wow is the result amazing! (not to toot my own horn). It's also got some super deep concave which we sadly didn't picture so you'll have to trust me on that! And of course, the main star of the show, the killer artwork! Took a bit of a liberty and created our own colourway but man does it look so good! 😍 Super proud of this one, so I really hope it goes to a good home. 🌏 FROM HALF THE WORLD AWAY 🌍 Here's the latest deck from our new Small Brands Line, a Death Breath Skateboards 'Tex' Gibson Tribute! I've been meaning to make a @deathbreathskateboards deck for a very long time because they're a huge inspiration for me, so I finally did it! And boy did it turn out good! The shape was a real nightmare to get symmetrical and correct, and I took a bit of a liberty with the nose (rounding it instead of recreating the trapezoid look) but it was all worth it to bring back those 80s vibes. The graphic turned out super awesome too! I saved a bottom ply specifically for this deck and I think it works perfectly! The gradient came out nice, the pink stain is oh-so delicious, and the fly and logo are just the right amount of scratchy. Really pleased with the outcome of this one! 🐶 CATDOG 🐱 Here's a strange little one, the New Deal Ed Templeton Woof Cat! I've been meaning to make this deck for ages thanks to posts from @destroyedwood , and boy am I glad I got around to it eventually! This is a neat little guy! I've tried to cater this one towards people who like thinner decks, so this is only 30mm at the widest point, which makes the deck feel super controlled and realistic. This is also the first deck I've made publicly available to be pressed using my new "1989 Mold", which features a super steep tail, mellow nose, and zero concave to create the ultimate high ollie beast! (Swipe to check out the concave). And as you can probably imagine from a first glance, the details inside the cat took forever! 🌊 SURFIN' BIRD 🌊 Here's our latest creation just in time for the holidays, a traditional Alaia Surfboard! For some reason, I have a bit of a fascination with finger surfboarding, so every time I know I'm going somewhere with waves, I have to make another surfboard! And this one turned out amazingly! Heavily inspired by the amazing works of @eviljungleprince_ , this board has it all: an awesome split ply top, a traditional surfboard shape, 6 ply construction for added toughness, and carved out channels underneath to control water flow. And of course, it's as flat as a pancake! Carving the channels with a lino cutter proved to be quite difficult to begin with, but as I got deeper into the board it became a lot easier and almost therapeutic in a way. Also did some insane finishing techniques to try and waterproof it. Teak oil undercoat AND an entire coat of superglue? Unheard of! And before anyone asks, it does indeed float and shred (thankfully), and this is no April Fool's joke! 🐶 A NEW LIFE 🐶 After a ton of hard work and effort, here's our latest offering from our new Small Brands line: a Life Skateboards XL Panhead with Lawrie's graphic! I've been meaning to make another Life deck for ages because I'm always inspired by their work, and I loved the Lawrie graphic when it first came out, so I figured now was the time! I was originally going to draw the graphic directly onto the deck, but @theholybible20 wanted to take it one step further and spent ages carving a tiny and intricate lino block! Swipe to the last slide to check out the insane detail! 🤯 Of course, me being me I slipped during the graphic application and so the graphic is a bit messy, but I still think it looks awesome. I specially picked out my best plies for this one, and I think this is maybe one of the cleanest decks I've ever made. Those of you that have been following me for a while might remember I made a small bean-like deck I (very cleverly) called "The Bean". Well here's the sequel! And better than the original might I add? I experimented with a teeny tiny mold again and it didn't quite come out like how I wanted, but I went with it and spawned this little beast! 😺 THE LITTLE KITTY 😺 Here's a very fun and experimental one: the Santa Cruz Natas Kitten Mini! I've been trying to make a late 80s transitional concave for years and I think I'm almost there! I used the Lego mold for this one and it's turned out really good! The deck has a huge kicktail, tiny kick nose, and (sadly) zero concave to speak of.
