Lazy afternoon light, trying to be comfortable and patient with one of my favourite tracks. I really enjoyed judging and dancing for @crossoverdance 's annual Unification Day Battle on the weekend. The future is bright and I hope to keep up with it, thank you for inspiring me.
@nashh_au Thank you for filming me and always supporting me, love you bro.
Thanks for not rejecting me after I asked you out here last year. This event will always be special to us. Thank you @housedance.kl :)
Thanks for capturing @eel.ing 🫶
A glimpse into Dechen Gendun’s work as part of Choreographic Lab 2026.
Developed over a two-week residency at Critical Path, Dechen collaborated with dancers Robin Chen, Jasey, Florence Cheng, and Adam Warburton with mentorship from Nick Power. Drawing on the cultural roots of street dance, the work explored how house, hip hop and breaking can evolve into powerful forms of storytelling on the theatre stage, through dialogue, rhythm, and lived experience.
Choreographic Lab is supported by Create NSW and Critical Path.

Thank you to all who joined us at the 2026 Choreographic Lab studio sharing.
Thank you to Dechen Gendun for leading the process, and to collaborators Robin Chen, Jasey, Florence Cheng, and Adam Warburton for their openness and commitment in the studio. We are grateful to mentor Nick Power for his guidance, and to venue partner Critical Path for supporting the development of this work.
The room held a strong and grounded energy. Freestyle practices from hip-hop, house and breaking met the contemporary stage, creating a powerful space where street dance culture and contemporary performance intersected and new communities came together. This is at the heart of DirtyFeet: creating space for connection and supporting artists to push their practice forward together.

Introducing the Choreographic Lab 2026 Creative Team: Robin Chen
Robin is a dancer raised within the Eora street-dance community, with a focus on house music, culture and dance, and experience in breaking. His practice draws on over a decade of learning from key figures locally and internationally, alongside a deep engagement with club culture past, present and future.
“This is an opportunity to be immersed in a deeper investigation of the dance culture and language that has been an integral part of my life. I'm really looking forward to digging alongside my fellow artists to learn more about ourselves, each other and our practices. Everyone in this Choreographic Lab is someone I admire greatly and working alongside them in the creatively empowered environment we've been given is a dream.” - @robininkchen

🔮 Brisbane House Dance Weekend ✨
A full weekend dedicated to connection, growth, and house culture.
Kick things off on Friday with a warm-up party at @ec_venue — a space to meet, connect, and dance together with local talented DJs @tr1cky.p@nadiahnfuzion@anm.lab
On Saturday, dive into workshops with interstate guest @robininkchen , bringing fresh perspectives and skills to help uplift and strengthen our local scene. Shout out to our workshop venue sponsor @maddancehouse 🫶
We wrap up on Sunday with a 1v1 House Battle @maddancehouse , judged by Robin. Pre-selection will be in the format of a cypher prelim where our judge would observe dancers’ energy, vibe and skills.
This weekend is for Brisbane househeads who want to upskill, motivate each other and to grow together as a community.

🇸🇬 @prjtzero Little known fact, one of the first house classes I took was in Singapore after RF Jam 2019. It was @hnz0 class at Nasty Drills. All the way through COVID, I was studying his videos to self learn. It feels unreal to come to this event and dance with all the people I saw in those videos.
It was so sick to see you all again and dance with you all. Love ya househeads.
THE ONE AND ONLY 🥁🥁🥁

Brilliant afternoon with the Sydney House dancers at their first house dance battle.
Honoured to be asked by @robininkchen to play for the prelim set. Served up a wide variety of sounds and styles. So cool watching everyone expressing themselves for 90 minutes to my set, there was a real purity to it 👌🏾.
Looking forward to more cool parties 🙌🏾
