When I looked through my photo folder to reflect on this year, I was happy to find I had way more memories than I expected.
Back in Tokyo I had around 80–90 gigs a year, but in Brisbane it’s only been a handful, and my lifestyle is completely different. Still, I feel like music is even closer to me here.
Living in this country has made me think more strongly about steps/dance, and about the culture and identity carried in music. I feel like the idea of “events = community” is really strong. That difference in values confused me at first, but dancing, playing, and talking within music/culture/identity that hasn’t been “symbolized” or reduced to labels is something I didn’t experience in Tokyo.
Life in that space has been really fun.
To the REVERVE team members who were involved for a while, the House Jam crew and Brisbane dancers I see every Monday, and everyone I’ve hung out with here thank you.
I’ll probably be in Brisbane until my second visa expires in June 2026.
There are so many things I want to talk about with everyone, but I still can’t express myself well in English. Anyway, I’m looking forward to staying connected thanks for being with me.

今年を振り返ろうと思って写真フォルダを見た時に、思ってたよりも多くの思い出があって嬉しい。東京にいた時は年間80-90本あったギグもブリスベンでは数える程で、生活スタイルも全く違うんだけど、もっと音楽を身近に感じている。
ステップや音楽の持つカルチャー、民族性をこの国では強く意識する様になって、イベント＝コミュニティといった価値観が強いなと思う。その価値観の違いには戸惑いがあったんだけど、記号化されていない音楽、文化、民族性の中で踊ってプレイして喋る事は、東京では経験できなかった。
その中での生活は楽しいよ。
少しの間開催していたREVERVEのチームメンバー、毎週月曜やっているHouse jamとブリスベンのダンサー、それからこっちで遊んだみんなありがとう。
多分セカンドビザの切れる2026年6月まではブリスベンにいる。
ほんとはみんなと喋りたいトピックがかなりあるんだけど、英語でうまく喋れないんだよね。でもこれからもよろしく。

Reverve comes back this month for a night of reclamation. Coming together for the music, for the people, for that feeling you can’t explain but feel deep in your body.
It’s a night to reclaim space and take up room unapologetically.
This isn’t just a party.
It’s a space conjured by us, for us.
Where presence is power and joy is sacred.
We come together on stolen and unceded land of the Turrbal and Jagera people, guided by sound, care and kinship. Reverve holds space for those who move with rhythm, resistance and heart.

載せる写真があんまりないね😂
2024を総括するような写真や動画はなかった。前半はDJ関連の写真や動画ばかりで、後半は自然と農場と車の故障した写真ばかり。
オーストラリアに来る前の事がはるか昔の事のように思える。東京ではどこに行っても知ってる人がいて、遊び方や楽しみ方が分かっていた。オーストラリアも根底にある楽しみ方は共通してるいけど、言語の壁がでかい。
ただそれでも上手くやっていくヒントを周りの人がくれるし、英語が流暢でない事に寛容だ。
オープンマインドな彼らをもっと好きになれるよう、Aliをもっとアピールしていきたい
