This has been my biggest project ever. Around 1 and a bit months of planning and another 6 months of pumping out designs, it was a long but fulfilling journey. I am so grateful to have been the lead graphic designer for Destructive Steps 15 @destructivesteps . Thank you to @arisse.tauv and @in.trospectionist for this opportunity and having faith in me. I would like to applaud them and @dsdainc team for working so hard during the 4 days. And one final thank you to @j_one_43 for starting this festival 15 years ago. Happy 15th Anniversary Destructive Steps! . . . . . . . #danceposter #sydneystreetdance #designprocess #poster #posterdesign #graphicdesign #grafik #grafikdesign #projektmono #digitalarchive

One of the most memorable movies I've watched in the past 5 years. Movie: Marriage Story (2019) written and directed by Noah Baumbach. . . . . . . . #marriagestory #poster #posterdesign #movieposter #movieposterdesign #alternativemovieposter

Another dance event, another set of posters. Thank you @dsdainc for allowing me to design the graphics for this event. . . . A little bit about the concept: this event’s visual identity was influenced by the branding of DSDA inc. and the event ‘Made in Redfern’. Additionally, I was inspired by the 1960s posters by the graphic designer Milton Glaser.

I had the privilege of designing the graphics for The Zone Vol. 2. This was loosely based on the graphics from Vol. 1 by @migumind (Filo-Aussie creative and dancer). Designing and helping out at dance events is always fun because I get to help my friends and teachers and I also meet so many people. Thank you @robininkchen for allowing me to design the graphics for your wholesome event. 🏠

Here are the sketches I made during the two life drawing sessions @arthousehotel . It was a great experience and highly recommend. During these sessions you cannot overthink your marks, especially when the model does 2min or less poses. There’s also this calm and focused atmosphere in the room. The two sessions I went to were separated by almost 2 months and had the same model. (2 Feb: slide 1-7, 30 Mar: slide 8-16)

If you couldn't tell from the gap between my last post and now, I haven't been drawing daily. Although I haven't been drawing much, I was able to attend a life drawing session for the first time. I've actually gone twice now. I'll post some sketches and a little reflection on my experience later. In the meantime, please enjoy these drawings I created using references from Pinterest.

1 month in of the “challenge”. It’s becoming a habit which is an overall goal. I’ve started to draw in public more with the subjects being random people I see. I’m still a bit self conscious about sharing them online but hopefully I can get passed that hurdle soon. This batch of drawings are focused more on neutral/more casual poses with clothing. It was definitely easier because I didn’t need to be as precise. drawings from 10 Jan - 24 Jan

For the past two weeks, I’ve made it an effort to draw something everyday. If you couldn’t tell already, my focus was figure drawing. This exercise forced me to get back into the habit of drawing again and not feel too precious about what I make. Throughout the two weeks, I saw a visible improvement and confidence in drawing people. The next goals will be to try and keep this up when I go back to work, become more intentional with lines and accurate with proportions so I can sketch quickly and nicely when urban sketching. The drawings are from earliest (27 Dec) to latest (9 Jan).

Redesigned the poster for @ausballet “Prism”. This was my first time watching contemporary ballet and I really liked it. My favourite of the pieces was “Seven Days” by Stephanie Lake. . . . . . . #ausballet #theaustralianballet #balletposter #posterdesign #graphicdesign

Behind the scenes photos of @dinkdeconstructed part 2. Ending the month by showcasing the performers who took part in the video project. It’s amazing to see people be in their element and create something kind of magical. Congrats @mayannnaiise on finishing your capstone project and for creating such a wonderful celebration of music and dance. #filmsetphotography #musicvideo #studentfilm #behindthescenesphotography
