New interactive art installation alert!! Quantum Spire is a playful, immersive science & art installation with 576 custom touch sensitive springs that visualises quantum physics in an accurate, but playful way. It's a variation of Quantum Jungle, but folded around a free-standing triangular base. Designed for the Forum Wissen Göttingen @forumwissengoe , where it's on show for the next 6 months as part of a special exhibition on quantum physics called "Was zum Quant?!". Scientifically, it visualises the Quantum Walk, a concept from quantum computing. #quantumspire #quantumjungle #lightart #interactiveinstallation #interactiveart #forumwissen #goettingen #quantumphysics #quantumwalk #iyq #schrodinger #schrodingerscat #arduino #teensy #esp8266 #leds #art #artscience #doorstopper

I just installed the largest Quantum Jungle yet in Wolfsburg, Germany! With 1008 touch-sensitive springs and thousands of LEDs it playfully visualises the movement of a quantum particle in a beautiful way. It's on show from the 14th April 2024.

From shifting projections and migratory movement to quantum interaction and dissolving matter, these are a few of the works shaping this year’s CURRENTS 2026 Art & Technology Festival ✤ CURRENTS 2026 | June 12 - June 21 ✤ At @elmuseocultural_sf | 555 Camino de la Familia ✤ Early Bird Tickets out now link in bio! ⋆˙⟡ ⋆.˚ ⊹₊⟡ ⋆ Quantum Jungle by Robin Baumgarten @robin.wobbles is an interactive installation of touch-sensitive springs and LEDs that turns complex concepts from quantum physics into a playful, hands-on experience for all ages. Threaded Light by Jess Lanham @jesslan4 transforms charcoal and fire-scarred ponderosa pine from the Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon burn scar into a haunting projection work that reflects on memory, regeneration, and the shifting meaning of home. Cluster Ache by Morgan Woolverton @morgan_woolverton layers hand-drawn sculptural panels with AI-animated projections, merging traditional mark-making with digital processes to create a shifting animated environment. Birds In Flight by Julia Daser @julia.daser and Pepi Ng @pepzicles is a kinetic sculpture that visualizes real-time bird migration across the United States, translating invisible aerial movement into a constantly shifting physical experience. Ephemera by Leffin C @leffinc uses mist, copper, and condensation to meditate on impermanence, questioning humanity’s desire to leave behind traces that can outlast time and memory. ——— Support from #neaArts #NMArts #SFArtsandCulture #SFEconomicDevelopment #SFCountyLTab mediaTheFoundation KindWorldFoundation

We first experienced Quantum Jungle at IGNITE Broward in 2024 and immediately fell in love with the piece. At Lumenaura, it was the first time the installation was presented without the artist on site, and our team successfully brought it to life by carefully following Robin’s precise German instructions. A standout for its kinetic precision and minimalistic brilliance, Baumgarten’s piece demonstrated the festival’s most experimental use of technology and real-time interaction. Innovation in Light & Technology Award – Robin Baumgarten @robin.wobbles Quantum Jungle is an interactive art installation that playfully visualizes Quantum Physics concepts on a large wall filled with over 1000 novel touch-sensitive metal springs and thousands of LEDs. It calculates Schrödinger’s Equation to model the movement of a quantum particle, and demonstrates concepts such as superposition, interference, wave-particle duality, and quantum waveform collapse while maintaining a playful approach that attracts children and adults alike. Berlin-based artist Robin Baumgarten creates tactile interactive installations that respond instantly to human touch, often using metal springs and custom sensors to translate physical movement into dynamic LED visualizations. #PublicArt #LightArt #ImmersiveArt #Lumenaura monochronicle

@robin.wobbles no solo crea juegos, crea experiencias. 🎮✨

The first outdoor installation of Quantum Jungle is live now in Switzerland! First in @zauberpark_zurichairport and now in @zauberwald_lenzerheide . It's been super solid so far at freezing winter temps 😎 Also with brand new reactive audio by @goldmass_music that we developed for another exhibition over the last month.

👀 1. Robin Baumgarten - „Quantum Jungle“ 2. Dorijan Šiško - „The Core“ 3. Mélanie Courtinat - „The Siren“ 📷 Foto Credit: Charlotte Ernst 📌 Kuratiert von Lex Rütten @lex.ruetten_ und Viv Lennert @metafrau 📅 13.
