Thanks to baritone @robgildon , poet Robert Jellicoe and our wonderful host @suzie_demetri_robertson for our ‘Suffolk Songs’ recital in Bury St. Edmunds. This concert brings to a close a long run of performances of this programme featuring a range of songs inspired by the culture, landscapes and poetry of Suffolk - including my dramatic song cycle Grey and Green are all my Light, setting poems and poetic prose by Bob Jellicoe from his book Shorelines. Wonderful to perform a major work over several months and in such a range of venues, from churches to theatres to rather grand country houses! All venues representing the history of British song in so many ways - a wonderful tradition of which I am proud to be a part of!
