Rob & I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary in the best way last night: By attending the BRC Orchestra’s Stevie Wonder tribute concert @ BAM! And the highlight was spending time backstage with the incomparable @sandrastvictor . Sandra wrote “Follow Your Heart”, the beautiful song that plays over the opening credits of my film “Naked Acts”, sung by @carlacook577 . Rob, as the film’s music supervisor, introduced me to both Sandra and her song. I stay grateful.❣️Such a full-circle moment! ❤️💕

HELGA is a film about rediscovery. Starring @hel.gadavis , this is a story of one singer/songwriter’s journey through emotions once buried alongside her “lost gem” — an album from the 90s, finally getting its due. How will she choose between reluctance and lure? Directed by @bridgett_d . Produced by @robfields and @mayasymonecade . Crowdfunding campaign coming soon! Stay tuned. 📸@reneecoxstudio

What an opening! I met Haitian artist Guy Stanley Philoche a couple months back. He currently paints happy children that out a smile in your face. What’s interesting about this body of work is that he’s engaging AI to help him craft his people. I was fascinated talking to him about his journey. Last night Musa Jackson hosted an opening for him at a wonderful gallery in Harlem, GPG on E. 104th Street. The crowd was thick—even in the rain. Show is up until June 13th. It’s worth seeing. @guystanleyphiloche Guy is on the cover of Musa’s Ambassador Magazine right now.

Amor y Femilia open Sing, Unburied, Sing our group show @gallerygpg Harlem last week curated by @champagneandvitamins featuring artists whose work excavate their practice and personhood beneath a silent song. ☀️Gracias mi gente for warming the room with your wisdom. ☀️ Sing, Unburied, Sing Curated by Charles Moore On view March 14th - April 18th GPG Gallery Harlem NYC Sing, Unburied, Sing gathers a constellation of visual artists whose works echo, refract, and reimagine the emotional and metaphysical terrain of Jesmyn Ward’s novel of the same name. Like the book, the exhibition moves along the fault lines between the living and the dead, the spoken and the withheld, the remembered and the erased. Here, the “unburied” become more than ghosts; they become a narrative strategy, a curatorial framework for understanding the repercussions of history that insist on surfacing. The exhibition proposes that haunting is not a rupture but a continuity. It is a reminder that memory refuses to be silent and that ancestral presence permeates contemporary life in ways both tender and unrelenting. Featuring artists: Esperanza Cortes, Alexandria Couch, Aristotle Forrester, Kim Clayton Klauss, Coralina Rodriguez Meyer, Otis Quaicoe, Raelis Vasquez, Telvin Wallace @esperanzacortes11 @cosmocouch @aristotles_abstractions_ @kimberly_clayton_klauss @coralinarodriguezmeyer @otis_quaicoe @raelis #telvinwallacestudio

Sitting at airport about to head to Austin for my…….Drum Roll🥁🥁🥁🥁38th time. I can’t even begin to share all the amazing EPIC events I was part of. Whether I curated them, promoted, produced or was just in the room. I helped launch territory activations for France, Turkey, Brazil, Czech Rebublic, U.K, Canada, Barbados, Israel and Hungary. I’m probably missing a few. I also brought a ton of Hip-Hop in the days where it was mainly Texas Rap. I also spearheaded and curated SXSW Soul and worked with a couple other partners for several successful Intl Hip-Hop showcases. Artists I got to witness early in their careers at @sxsw are too long to list but here’s a few. Lady Gaga, Peaches, Amy Whinehouse, Mars Volta, Kings of Leon, Built To Spill, Pavement, M.I.A. Highlights are many!! 2 that I’ll never forget. Introducing @roxycottontail to Jon Pareles, legendary rock critic at NY Times and moderating a Rhymesayers panel with @atmosphere in 1998 before they were about to blow. I was terrible at archiving and lost tons of video and images but I will crowd source when my book is written. You will recognize a few faces in these images. Rob Fields understands the art world is adapting to our evolving times, whether it’s how we consume or produce art. Through your phone screen, an exhibit, alone, or with others. The question shouldn’t be what’s the correct way to do it; it should be how to experience and connect with each approach. Fields is the art advisor & founder and CEO of Mighty Mighty LLC and previously led Sugar Hill Children’s Museum of Art & Storytelling and the Weeksville Heritage Center. To him, in this medium, value isn’t a number but a measurer for connection, longevity, and experience. #art Written by @donovan_alexandr Designed by @estmelan

Thank you so much to everyone who came to see “Homeplace” over the last two months. I was so happy to share this exhibition with you and I’m grateful for the love and support. “This task of making homeplace was not simply a matter of black women providing service; it was about the construction of a safe place where black people could affirm one another and by so doing heal many of the wounds inflicted by racist domination. We could not learn to love or respect ourselves in the culture of white supremacy, on the outside; it was there on the inside, in that “homeplace,” most often created and kept by black women, that we had the opportunity to grow and develop, to nurture our spirits. This task of making a homeplace, of making home a community of resistance, has been shared by black women globally, especially black women in white supremacist societies.” - ‘Homeplace’ by bell hooks I hope that for a brief moment, in an increasingly exhausting, oppressive, and depressing world, this exhibition could be your “Homeplace,” and could “nurture our spirits.” Thank you for joining me. If you missed it and want to learn more, there are images and the reading list on my website including the PDF of the essay “Homeplace” :) …and big thanks to @primary_build for making the beautiful walls and helping to realize my vision 🙏🏾

A November look back on @jamaicaartscenter ARTWorks 2025/26. We continue with weekly introductions of expert guidance in Art Advisory, Gallery Relationships and Cultural Creative Resources. Understanding the role of Art Advisory means absorbing the moving parts, the players and the pulse of the Art Market. Our fellows learned about the state of the current market, its infrastructure, numbers, growing regions, community and relationships, and of course the passion of artists and collectors, through the in-depth lens of Art Advisor, Rob Fields. Fellows were introduced to the culture of gallery relationships via best practices for preparing, approaching, establishing and nurturing gallery relationships from the lived experience of Artist & Art Educator, Alicia Ehni. Lastly, our fellows were given a tour of Materials For The Arts by Education Coordinator, Will Neidmann, including an overview of their residency program and the current resident exhibition, followed by a 45minute shopping experience of free reuse products within their massive warehouse in LIC. Fellows were able to gather free reuse material for their upcoming ARTWorks exhibition scheduled for March 2026. We are grateful to our Art professionals for offering their time and expertise in guiding our fellows in their pursuit of their art careers. Rob Fields - @robfields Alicia Ehni - @aliciaehni Will Niedmann - @materialsforthearts Rob Fields is the founder & CEO of Mighty Mighty LLC, an art advisory and arts consulting firm that connects people, art, and ideas.  He has facilitated the acquisition of works by established artists as well as numerous emerging artists. Today I woke up in Rutas’ mood and asked myself: How did I get here? 🥰🥂🎄✨ Thank you @stylecurator , @professorferri , @bernardomosqueira , and @dvictorio_ for hosting the most welcoming, joyful, and delicious family-and-friends Christmas parties ✨🥂 We truly had a one-of-a-kind year, and having you all around makes everything feel at ease, vibrating on a different frequency and engulfed in the joy of transforming even the simplest moments into a ball. Here are some memories from the end of the year with the KFP family, celebrating our beloved @studiolenca “Rutas” presentation at @momaps1 as part of @laescuela.art Homeroom: Education as Resistance, curated by our beloved @elenamariakg 🥂 We celebrated a year of exhibitions, auctions, galas, dinners, curatorial trips, and most importantly, the blessing of having each other’s support. My body had been waiting all year for the legendary @bernardomosqueira and @dvictorio_ Christmas delights extravaganza, along with the most delicious abrazos on earth from @sharpwhitebackground . So we jumped into an Uber to the fiesta and camped out with the cuties in B & D’s kitchen to close the night. My heart is so full. Simultaneously craving a traditional Christmas roasted duck stuffed with sticky rice, as described by a new friend that I met at B&D last night introduced by mi coração, @lutfi_janania . 🦆✨ Bonus memories from last years’s David Antonio Cruz Christmas house party that introduced me to the flyest empanadas in UWS and still gagging over @asahinyc and David’s ocurrencias and peripecias while working together in David’s opera. Our rutas are definitely one of a kind but I feel so blessed to crossed paths with each one of you on this journey. Y seguimos ✨💕 Les amo, DAE
