Jessica and Patrick were matched through the Best Buddies Citizens Program on Dec 10th, 2020, after both wrote each other's names down as their preferred match. They instantly connected over their shared love of Minnesota sports and have spent the past five years building a friendship full of kindness, laughter, and unforgettable memories, from movie nights and sporting events to walks and dinners.
They've supported each other through life's big moments too, like cheering at Patrick's Special Olympics events, celebrating Jessica's Twin Cities Marathon, and being crowned the 2022 Best Buddies Champion of the Year (
@bestbuddieschampion ) together. Patrick was honored to stand in Jessica's wedding in 2023, and today, the two are proud coworkers at UnitedHealthcare.
Through Best Buddies, Jessica and Patrick found more than friendship - they discovered confidence, community, and the true power of inclusion. Together, they've shown that one friendship can change everything.
