I have so many meaningful and deep friendships that it would be difficult to list them all here. However, there is one guy who deserves special recognition, especially as it pertains to the publication of my memoir. (Which is officially a National Bestselling) @rmohr has been in my corner advocating for me for past 10+ years. This brother has shown me the same kind of love I feel from my wife and children. He is a man of honor and integrity. A true Bostonian. If Rob told me, “I need your help. I can’t tell you what it is, you can never ask me about it later, and we’re gonna hurt some people.” My only question would be, “Who’s car we gonna take?” I’m so proud to call Rob my friend. I love you my brother. Thank you everything!

We trained our back with legend @thedorianyates Episode with the 6x Mr. Olympia is now up on @hubermanlab — While I don’t log a lot of time in the gym these days, I grew up lifting heavy, reading bodybuilding magazines, and watching Dorian videos online. This made for a pretty surreal experience at Gold’s Gym Venice Beach with “The Shadow”. Dorian is as cool and kind as they come. And he’s still a beast with the iron. — And as always, @blabacphoto with the 📸🔥

Solo episode. These are episodes with just Andrew. Weeks of preparation, and a full day spent recording. No transcript. No teleprompter. Just two cameras and a microphone. Our guest episodes are fun to capture, but the solos have a special magic to them. Tomorrow we return with a solo episode. The first in a few months. It’s on the Vagus Nerve. How it’s critical to your mood, energy, disgestion, resilience, and more. Make sure to tune in. @hubermanlab @scicommedia

RUNNING • - This photo is from the 2024 USA Olympic Track and Field qualifier in Eugene Oregon (“Track Town USA”). - All 3 of us (@hubermanlab - a research scientist, professor and podcaster & @cameronrhanes - legendary bowhunter, ultramarathoner and podcaster & @rmohr - producer of the Huberman Lab podcast) are longtime runners and huge Track and Field fans. - We all run but very differently. Rob is a seasoned triathlete and marathoner, Cam runs ultramarathons and to be a better hunter and all three of us run as a way to push ourselves mentally and physically. I merely run “recreationally” (for 30 years it’s been: one long 60-90min slow run, one medium 30-45min faster run, and one sprint type run, per week). - Health benefits aside (too many to list) running is one of the best ways to be in nature and/or outdoors and to explore cities. It also can bring about new ideas, help process internal challenges and of course, you can listen to podcasts or books while doing it, or listen to music or run in silence. Few forms of exercise require so little equipment and can be done essentially anywhere, alone or with a group and safely in different weather conditions. - Obviously, if you’re new to running, ease into it slowly, but most people find they can progress quickly starting with 2-4 days of running 20-45 min per week. Of course, there are people that loathe running (!) and for whom cycling or swimming or rowers are probably better options …but if you havn’t tried running give it a try and let us know how it makes you feel both during and afterwards. I think you’ll agree that there’s something special to moving through space at jogging, running, or sprinting speed— and indeed there are specific circuits in the brain specifically to generate running gait so really it’s in our DNA to run. - And no matter what country you’re in, we encourage you to support the athletes in Paris this Olympics! - Put any questions you have about running below. And as always, thank you for your interest in science! - @hubermanlab @stanford.med @stanford @uoregon PHOTO: @blabacphoto - #neuroscience #science #ciencia #neurociencia #running #track #olympics

DAVID GOGGINS x HUBERMAN LAB —— I’ve been looking forward to this conversation since the first day we launched Huberman Lab. We have a big year ahead and to set the tone we worked hard to have this be our January 1 episode. It did not disappoint. @hubermanlab and @davidgoggins brought their A games. The episode is now live on all podcast platforms and YouTube. Start your 2024 off right, and give this one a listen or a watch. Here’s to no off days. Happy New Year! #StayHard #HubermanLab 📸 @blabacphoto

There are two types of fun— one that comes from easy enjoyment, and one that comes from electively doing hard things. Both are made better with friends. I’ve been able to do some pretty cool stuff alongside @hubermanlab , but this day a couple weeks ago with @cameronrhanes finds itself near the top of the list. Type 2 fun with a 72lb pack. Cam, thanks for showing us the beauty of Oregon! (And thanks @rihanacary @blacktailtanner @caleb.marmolejo !!) Andrew’s interview on Keep Hammering Collective is live on all podcast apps and YouTube, and the Lift Run Shoot video is on YouTube. #keephammering #hubermanlab (H/t to @logdoglevy @sammybsong for the wisdom on type 1 & type 2 fun.)

Our episode with Tim Ferriss is out now. @timferriss Having Tim on the HLP was really special for both me and Andrew. We’ve long admired and drawn inspiration from him. And boy did Tim deliver in this conversation. As many who know me are aware, I’ve been obsessed with podcasts for well over a decade. They’ve profoundly changed how I think and what I do. I distinctly remember being on the subway in NYC listening to episode 1 of the Tim Ferriss Show soon after it was released. It’s been a constant in my life ever since. It was a real trip to have Tim now come on our own podcast. After we recorded, Tim realized that the day marked the 9-year anniversary of when his first episode was released. Thankful to @hubermanlab and the full team for making moments like this possible. Many more to come.

It’s up. Episode one of our Guest Series with Dr. Andy Galpin. Andy is a world expert on exercise science and a phenomenal communicator. If you’re interested in improving your fitness in any way—building strength, improving endurance, losing fat and/or adding muscle—this series is for you. Episode one (six in total will be released) is now up on all Huberman Lab channels (Spotify, Apple, YouTube, etc.). An absolute honor to collaborate with @drandygalpin on this project. He’s a knowledge machine, and he and @hubermanlab go deep on all things fitness. Hope you enjoy! 📸 @blabacphoto
