A Solo Exhibition by Roman Savchenko @rmnsavch
Fast — Slow. Perception in Two Tempos
🗓️March 5 – 22, 2026
📍 @tmp_space , 74 Mikheili Tsinamdzgvrishvilis St
The exhibition features over 60+ new artworks by Roman Savchenko, created in Tbilisi. These abstract paintings are inspired by the rhythms of Georgian writing and the artist’s emotions.
The project compares two ways of looking at images. One part shows how we look at things quickly, like we do on our phones. The other part invites you to look slowly and carefully at the art in front of you. It is an experiment to help us notice how we see the world when we stop rushing.

“Spectrum of Dimensions” — solo exhibition at the Auditoria Gallery, Budva
August 28 – September 12, 2025
This exhibition is not a scientific illustration but an artistic instrument revealing the plasticity of perception. Inspired by string theory, the project explores unseen layers of reality. Using RGB lenses as a metaphor, the artist transforms color into a key to perceiving the world’s multiplicity, depth, and infinite spectrum of forms.

A Solo Exhibition by Roman Savchenko

Roman Savchenko is an artist working with painting, drawing, and digital media. The exhibition presents more than 50 new graphic works — abstract improvisations the artist defines as “two-dimensional music.” In his practice, visual structures exist in the gap between a recognizable image and pure geometry.
Savchenko is interested in the moment perception shifts — that fraction of a second when the brain is ready to assign meaning to an object but has not yet fixed it. This metaphorical superposition keeps the image fluid and open to interpretation.
Building on this approach, the exhibition proposes fast and slow modes of viewing, confronting the automatism of digital consumption with the conditions of prolonged contemplation. The project invites the viewer to experiment with their own optics, where the primary subject of inquiry becomes the very mechanics of vision.

The final part of the series, completed in early 2026. This is where color finally enters my graphic reflections.
These color works are the logical conclusion of this creative period. While the black and white pieces represent the «skeleton» and structure of my ideas, these seven works add character and mood. Now that the full series of 21 drawings is complete, I see it as a standalone story rather than just a sketchbook.

Looking at these color pieces, which one would you like to see as a tangible, physical object?

This is the second part of the series created at the turn of the year. It is fascinating how the perception of an object changes when you stop looking at it as a plan and start seeing it as a finished piece of art.
The small format requires a focus on detail. In this part of the series, I explored line density and “breathable” space. Even without color, each piece feels three-dimensional. It seems these forms no longer need clay or metal to exist — they live perfectly right here on paper.
