Carving our Fallen Oak stage this year is @river__running , the crew led by Tristan and Georgia. Known for their knack of turning recycled materials and thoughtful design into spaces that feel just right, they’ve shaped plenty of beloved builds across the scene — and they’re bringing that same steady hand to Gateway this year.
From day one, they understood what Fallen Oak is about: a stage that blends into Heide’s sculptures and greenery with an organic ease, almost as if it sprouted overnight. We could say more, but this is something you’ll have to see for yourself.
Not long now…
Another year of @strawberryfields_festival and the chance to work with @bush_studio_architecture again. A pleasure as always! Looking forward to seeing this space grow and hopefully add some more beautiful additions in the years to come. 📸 Carolyn West
One more week and we’re back in the workshop.
A little bit of time away has been inspiring.
Always exciting to come home with new ideas and things to work on.
A few from the Interior of the SFF24 Gallery.
The Gallery showcased a collection of @duncographic amazing photographs over the years.
Really enjoyed working with @bush_studio_architecture and the SFF Community that helped bring this to life!
Looking forward to seeing what SFF25 brings to us all.
It was a pleasure welcoming @will.hamiltoncoates into the Warehouse for the first time. 📸
We’ve had our heads down building the space and running our business’ at the same time.
While the list of little jobs is still long, the Warehouse and its people are settling in nicely. Looking forward to seeing how it continues to grow.
A few shots of the roofline from the Gallery we built for SFF24.
Working with numerous angles and a meticulous set out to achieve an incredibly intricate frame.

As always, massive thankyou to the RR Team for not only pulling together another great job but also being such a beautiful crew to work with.
You guessed it, photography by the incredible @duncographic
Keep your eyes peeled friends. We’ve got some more projects in the pipeline that are going to pop over the coming months! #sugarmountainfestival #boilerroomtv
Obliqua V: The Final Frontier.
Building the stage to close this chapter of Obliqua was an absolute privilege and allowed so many moments of reflection.
Witnessing all of our friends in this space the past 5+ years and their journeys that have brought them to this final Obliqua has been amazing.
For myself it has been a big journey at that. The first Obliqua I had little to no Carpentry experience, aside from home hobby enthusiasm. @hazwest and I rolled in, after reconnecting with Ezra after many years and helped best we could with the first Obliqua stage and other jobs.
Witnessing Ez and Joel throw together a little stage out of materials they had on Gavs farm and lending a very inexperienced hand where I could was the initial spark that started my curiosity for Carpentry, Design and Resources.
Fast Forward to this most recent new years and I got to help bring an incredible stage to life. @brown_sugar_________ not only designed an incredible stage to look at. She considered an array of factors. From Sound/Projections, to whole materials/the resources used and their intended uses afterwards. Plus so many other things in between.
This was a friendly reminder of why I love doing what I do at this point in time.

It was a real treat putting together such a big team of friends for this build. Never thought I’d get the opportunity to have so many of my favourite people all working together on one job.
As always @duncographic@will.hamiltoncoates behind the lens! Doesn’t get better.
