Captured through @oakley@meta_smart_glasses , you’re getting the full rigger point of view. Which means less polished drone shots… and a lot more “don’t drop that” moments from 40 metres up.
Turns out, climbing masts while filming is just another skill to add to the list. Multitasking at its finest.
Now we just need to make sure someone remembers to turn them off at lunch… some things are better left off camera.

One minute you’re 50 metres up a mast with the wind in your ears…the next minute you’re guiding a multi-ton rig into place, like it’s a bit of oversized meccano.
Climbing. Stepping. Unstepping. A bit of problem solving thrown in for good measure - usually at height.
All in a day’s work for the RigPro team. Equal parts skill, nerve… and just the right amount of bravado.
Daredevil is a real-life qualification.

A few months ago we saw Twizzle at the very beginning of her refit journey. 🔧
Fast forward to today and she’s back below the crane in Auckland for one of the most satisfying moments in any project - mast stepping day.
For us riggers it’s the moment when:
🧍♂️ Everyone stands very still (apart from some arm waving and hand whirling)
🌬 Nobody breathes for about 90 seconds
↖️ And someone quietly says “just 10mm to port…”
The mast is in, and Twizzle is another step closer to being back where she belongs.
