I feel like I blinked a few times in January 2025, and now it’s 2026. Insane.
2025 is the year I got my first paid gigs for photography, videography, and graphic design.
2025 is the year I released my original music.
2025 is the year I played my first shows.
2025 is the year I lost my last grandparent.
2025 is the year we lost my mother-in-law.
So much love, sweetness, joy, abundance, uncertainty, pain, frustration, and grief. I’m grateful for it all.
Thank you to everyone who paid me for my work. Thank you to everyone who invested in my art. Thank you to everyone who offered a kind word and for every like, every comment, every encouragement. For the few who talked shop with me, gave me free game, took time to vote for my success, shared my art, told a friend, bought a ticket, bought my handmade merch, and showed up to witness me pursue my passions, thank you for seeing me. Your time, effort, and attention were a salve to my insecurities and a balm to my spirit. You helped propel me forward, and I am forever grateful that you exchanged energy with me.
In 2026, I aim to do more of the things I love. To leave the house more. To spend less time theorizing and more time doing, playing, failing, iterating. To collaborate more. To create more. To ask for more and give from a fuller cup. To share more without the oppressive restrictions of perfection. To rely less on my “talent” and become more consistent. To be more visible. To stop hiding. To express myself more freely and encourage others around me to do the same. To be more vocal. To call out injustice and abuse. To be more selective about where and with whom I spend my time. To become more aware of and accountable for my own transgressions, while still giving myself grace to figure it all out.
2026 is here, and 2027 is just a few blinks away.

The only picture I can find of me with my mother-in-law is this instax mini shot at my wedding in her home, November 2019 where I’m doing this goofy little boy pose. This month has been heavy. Wrote a bit of poetry to honor mi suegras memory in the following slides.
There’s less than two weeks till my debut show for Day 2 of @solarflaremusicfest and I can👏🏽 not👏🏽freak👏🏽ing👏🏽wait👏🏽🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
I’ll be performing a few original songs, as well as a special shoegazy, grungy take on one of my fav Selena Quintanilla songs with support on guitar by @mysadmangoes , and @thesideeffectsofparadise on drums.
