Because so much of Jacinto’s family kept asking where the karaoke was at the opening… we decided to make it happen 🎤 Join us for a special karaoke night alongside You Weren’t There by Jacinto Deleon. @ristaphtx will be back with their delicious eats, and we will have matcha by @foundin.between , and plenty of songs queued up for y’all to sing your little hearts out. We’ll also have an interactive project by Britt Thomas (@britt_thomas_art ) inside the FLATS Photo Booth: Peel & Feel Instant Tears — a modified vending machine dispensing custom glass stick-on teardrops inspired by Man Ray’s Glass Tears. The piece treats emotion as something performative, wearable, and applied. So bring your quarters! Free photo strip for anyone using the Peel & Feel Tears! *during event only* 📍FLATS, May 23rd, 6-9pm Come hang, sing, cry a little, and spend time with the exhibition before it closes. Sponsored by @freshartsorg and funded in part by @houstonartsalliance and the City of Houston. So this is week one of me breaking down FLATS. @tiboncy @anne_marie_darcy @broomzine @rfranciscophoto @fuocchiverdi #flatspresents #houstonphotography #houstonstrong #houarts #cutestlittlefilmlabintexas

A little piece of Houston history, now for your fridge. FLATS’ first fridge magnets are here! Inspired by the blue and white tiles around Montrose 💙 First embedded into curbs in the 1920s as Houston’s original street signs, these tiles have become one of the city’s most iconic details — history hiding in plain sight. Now they get to live on your fridge, framing your photo strip from Houston’s first photobooth in over 15 years. #flatsfilmlab #cutiestlittlefilmlabintexas #houstonmatters #analogphotobooth #houstonphotobooth
