We carefully cured and smoked it into pastrami and corned beef to create their vision of a New York deli classic! 😮

Seiji Nanbu @seijipdx of Electrica Coffee @electricapdx has been so incredibly supportive of the Portland food and drink scene for so many years - sharing his experiences through his beautiful photos and his writing.

Ikoi no Kai is a community-based volunteer-run lunch program in Portland that has primarily served second- and third-generation of Japanese Americans for more than 40 years, and is open to people of all ages. Ikoi no Kai provides meals to local seniors and others, including monthly meal delivery to those who are unable to travel. The initiative helps provide social connection, while preserving Japanese culinary traditions within the community.
