Ritu Kumar Wedding | Featured here, The Taj Bhawani Anarkali Set & Machilipatn Kalamkari suit set from the Ritu Kumar Wedding Edit.
A timeless revival from the archives of Ritu Kumar.
Inspired by 19th-century traditions, this Elysian ensemble is crafted in rare 200-count cotton muslin from Phulia, Bengal, and adorned with intricate gota work reminiscent of Rajasthan’s royal heritage.
With nearly 2000 hours of hand embroidery, each mango motif is shaped through the age-old art of crumpling and folding gota, elevated further with Gokhru gota from Jaipur.
The artistry of Machilipatnam Kalamkari, the soul of our ‘Cheepa’ design. Rooted in heritage yet envisioned through a softer, contemporary lens, the collection pairs traditional motifs with muted pastel hues to create a language that feels both youthful and enduring.
Meticulously handcrafted over 1,700 hours, the ensemble is brought to life through intricate zardozi, ari, tikki, and mukaish embroidery. The craftsmanship unfolds like a luminous veil of gold, flowing effortlessly into layered hems adorned with delicate gold jhallar, a subtle nod to the opulence and romance of the Mughal era.
