I’ve always been pretty much proud of the \\W logo crafted for @bashbash.waves , but man, bringing it to life together with the 70s/80s-inspired @alessstrick motion wizardry just raises the bar a thousand notches. While \\WAVES will keep featuring a “clean” style, we might use this hybrid form for some specific, “signature” releases in the future. Ok so basically me and @smiechowskitomek have this deal where we have exchange services when we need some craft from each other. In this case he needed an animated version of the logo, while I needed a super weird custom item for beautiful prank, so.. here we go! (Will share more on both things later)

Another super juicy bit crafted for my favourite music-fueled company out there, @wavsdotcom 🎶. As part of the rebrand operation kicked off with the Artist Spotlight design module (featured here a couple of weeks ago), here comes the 2nd piece: the SAMPLE THIS!! module. The idea is simple — to showcase a sound other artists can grab and use instantly ⚡. Just like with the Artist Spotlight piece, this task revolved around creating an After Effects asset that could be easily customized in-house, with music and visuals adapting to the showcased artist. This time, the waveform itself takes center stage 🌊. Here’s a quick index of the post:

Just recently, I was called in by Andrew Gear – the man behind the London-based studio HRZN / @hrzn_ldn – to craft a series of illustrations for the recruitment agency Hawkwood, which focuses specifically on HR in the tech field. It was an absolute delight to work on. The final output was a set of still illustrations, but – as per tradition – I HAD to turn them into a small, music-synced animation. What you see here, in order, are the animation reworks of my two favorite pieces, the sketching phase, and the website featuring the finished products. It’s with immense pride that I finally get to share this set of illustrations—a massive project that took months to develop. Together with @eve_weinberg we went through countless iterations, culminating in the June launch! What you see here is part 1 (of 2) of an IG-friendly case study, showcasing a range of assets: from final pieces to others that were repurposed or discarded—but still close to my heart 🫀 You’ll also spot sketches with (very messy) notes, plus a short clip of the Modular HQ now decorated with Max, Ava, and Mojo—the three characters representing the core of their services, which I had the honor to illustrate. And of course, just for presentation’s sake, the cover piece has been turned into a looping animation—because I just can’t resist syncing things to music. Let’s give a warm welcome to a new piece of cool streetwear – once again part of the merch roster designed for Moveax (aka your favorite Rome-based tech startup founded by my dear friend @lorenzo.giustozzi ). This time, the occasion was a corporate retreat – magnificently turned into a short movie by @brandnewvideo . You can catch a snippet here, while the full clip is now live on LinkedIn. For this special event, we wanted to create a “fun variant” of the department emblems crafted a few years ago (you’ll spot them as you scroll through the post). The goal was to capture the spirit of the retreat while staying visually consistent with the existing series. Among the sketches (the melon mixed with a pie chart was definitely one of my faves!), the cocktail ended up – not surprisingly – being the winner!

Gosh, it’s been way too long since I posted here – but if I’m making a comeback, this WAVS project is the perfect way to do it (and yes, there’s more coming 👀). What you see is the redesigned Creator Spotlight template – a little gem I first worked on two years ago, now refreshed to better spotlight the incredible artists filling WAVS’ ranks. WAVS is now one of the best sample-driven platforms and communities you’ll ever hear about. 📀📀📀 This piece sits right at the sweet spot between music, design, and system-building. The goal? Create an After Effects asset that @wavsdotcom could easily customize in-house, with visuals and audio shifting to match each featured artist. Here’s what’s in the post:
