For anyone who believes:
❤️ All humans, regardless of origin, race, gender identity and gender expression, sexual orientation, or faith tradition are beloved and have equal and inherent worth.
❤️ Immigrants and people of all races and backgrounds are welcome here and everywhere. A diverse community is a stronger community.
❤️ Trans and queer people are welcome here and everywhere, enriching and strengthening our communities.
❤️ Equal rights for women and reproductive rights are essential. Everyone has a right to make their own decisions about their own bodies.
❤️ Wealth disparities endanger democracy and cause harm to many, especially the unhoused and the un/underemployed whose humanity and rights we affirm.
❤️ Gun safety is needed to protect our communities, make our schools safe, and lower the instances of suicide, gun violence and death.

Just a few of the many amazing people coming together for LOVE IS THE POINT on May 15th at 6:30PM.
No matter your faith (or none at all), you are welcome if you want to be in community and give and receive love, acceptance and solidarity for all who are targeted by, impacted by and concerned about the right-wing political agenda and white Christian nationalism.
The event is FREE but there will also be fundraising opportunities for relevant causes.
Join us if you believe:
❤️ All humans, regardless of origin, race, gender identity and gender expression, sexual orientation, or faith tradition have equal and inherent worth. No one is wrong or bad or unlovable or unwelcome because of who they are.
❤️ Immigrants and people of all races and backgrounds are welcome here and everywhere. A diverse community is a stronger community.
❤️ Trans and queer people are welcome here and everywhere, enriching and strengthening our communities.
❤️ Wealth disparity and inequality needs to be addressed. And our unhoused siblings are worthy of love and support.
❤️ Reproductive rights are essential. Everyone has a right to make their own decisions about their own bodies.
❤️ Gun safety is needed to protect our communities, make our schools safe, and lower the instances of suicide, gun violence and death.
Huge thank you to our amazing musicians!

I think we could all use a bit more LOVE and Acceptance these days - being gracious with ourselves and others, allowing ourselves to receive love as much as we give it. So next Thursday, we will feel into and move with LOVE & Acceptance.

As always SOUL Dance is an opportunity for you to check in with yourself, to be present with yourself and what you’re experiencing, and to take care of yourself (and no one else).
This practice is for anyone and everyone (ALL are Welcome!) but it is especially beneficial for those who have been supporting others (community organizers, activists, ministers, nurses, doctors, teachers, therapists, non-profit workers, etc.). You need to tend to yourself especially in these challenging times, simply to take care of yourself but also so you can keep doing the essential work you do.
This is an individual practice for you to connect and move with yourself. Here’s what you can expect:
💓 An Opening Circle to connect with the theme a bit
💓 A Guided Meditation to ground into the moment and connect with yourself
💓 A lightly-guided movement practice to a sacredly-curated playlist of songs - you will be given an invitation for how you can be with each song but you are encouraged to move (or not) however your body and soul want.
💓 Reflective journaling and connection in a Closing Circle.
I would love for you to join us to receive and connect with Spring Awakening. All are welcome. No dance experience required - some don’t even dance at all - it’s about listening to what your body and soul want.
Thursday, May 14th 6:00-7:30PM

Sharing a couple spiritual insights with you about body image that have helped me a lot over the years. How do these land for you? Are they obvious? Do they change your perspective at all? Helpful? Not?

Join us for LOVE IS THE POINT on May 15th at 6:30PM. An alternative to the Turning Point USA event being held at the Portland expo the same evening. People of all faiths (an no faith at all - all are welcome) this FREE event will include music from fabulous local musicians and support for efforts related to:
❤️ immigrant rights
❤️ trans and all LGBTQ+ rights
❤️ reproductive rights
❤️ gun safety
and there will be fundraising opportunities for the communities targeted by Turning Point USA.
This event intends to shine a light on the love and community support found in Greater Portland and throughout Maine for all those who feel that their lives, safety, and rights are oppressed, targeted, or at risk in the hands of right-wing politics, White Supremacist ideas, and Christian Nationalist ideologies. Gathering at the same time as the planned Turning Point USA event offers residents from across the state a safe and welcoming space, and a reminder that there are many people, leaders, and communities in Maine that embraces all of its residents and their many unique gifts.
This event is for anyone who believes that:
❤️ All humans, regardless of origin, race, gender identity and gender expression, sexual orientation, or faith tradition have equal and inherent worth. No one is wrong or bad or unlovable or unwelcome because of who they are.
❤️ Immigrants and people of all races and backgrounds are welcome here and everywhere. A diverse community is a stronger community.

Wonderful to be in community with like-minded folks at #nokings again in Portland today. To sing, to chant, to stand for what we believe in and value.

Next Thursday 4/2 (new date for just this month) we will dance with the energy of the Spring. That does not mean we will pretend that everything is rainbows and sunshine and daffodils and tulips. We will honor what we are experience in this very challenging time AND we will connect into the shifting seasons and what the transition brings up within us.

Scenes from Savannah. Headed into retreat now but what a beautiful little bite-sized afternoon visit in a beautiful little city on a beautiful spring day. Already, the change of scenery and routine is so good for my soul (the incredible geodes and fossils and peach gelato didn’t hurt either). ;)
After SOUL Dance ended and the beautiful souls that had joined left last night, I wanted to dance with this incredible song one more time under the fun disco lights that @hopegateway temporarily had.
I would very rarely have any desire to share a video of me dancing on my own, but this practice of being with and moving with the music that wants to be included in the playlists is do powerful. This is part of what SOUL dance is about.
AND I’m mostly sharing because this @aliciakeys song “We Are Here” is so incredible and moving and true. Listen to the words.
May we stand up for ALL of us. May we stay soft and stay strong, stay present, stay human, stay connected.
We’re all here for all of us.
We’re all here for all of us.
We’re all here for all of us.
