Hackney Fixing Factory is excited to be celebrating it's first birthday! đâ

We're proud of what we have achieved so far! Since opening Hackney Fixing Factory repairers have volunteered over 827 hours, repaired over 521 items for over 250 members of the community, and saved 7.7 tons of CO2!â

We know that repair and reuse is popular with both politicians and the public đ§ 150 MPs have signed the #RepairReuseDeclaration which calls on policies to ensure that repair is accessible and affordable, and that reusing our finite resources becomes the norm. â

We need the governmentâs Circular Economy Growth Plan to support a more sustainable path ahead for the UK. But this canât happen until the plan is released. â
â
Thatâs why weâve sent a joint letter, signed by businesses, NGOs and community repair networks calling on the Prime Minister @keirstarmer to release the plan from months of delays, so that the work of @defrauk âs Circular Economy Taskforce can be turned into action. â
