We were excited to welcome @mattpierri , Founder and CEO of @sociabilityapp , to open the main program at our Remarkable Disability Tech Summit 2025 with his keynote "From Margins to Mainstream: Reframing Accessibility as Inclusion". Matt invited us to rethink accessibility not as compliance, but as innovation, inclusion and the foundation of a rewired future. Grounded in lived experience and rich with insight, his keynote helped shape the conversations that continued throughout the Summit. As we mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities this year, we are reminded why collective moments like the Disability Tech Summit matter. Accessibility doesn’t stop at compliance‼️ Meeting the minimum standard doesn’t automatically mean people feel included. At last year’s Disability Tech Summit in Sydney – hosted by our long-time partner @remarkable_tech – I spoke about a common issue we see repeatedly in workplaces: Policies can be compliant ✔️ Adjustments can be in place ✔️ Yet people can still feel excluded, overlooked, or unsupported in practice ❌ True inclusion is about how accessibility is experienced, not just how it’s documented. It’s about culture, confidence, and creating environments where disabled people can genuinely thrive, not just “get by”. Huge thanks to @remarkable_tech and @cpalliance Australia for creating space for these conversations. They’re the ones that move organisations from intention to impact! Meet Amy Whalley, CEO of the @ausdisabilitynetwork . Amy is a leader in disability inclusion with extensive experience working with business and government influencing disability inclusion practice and policy, in Australia and UK. Her career includes roles at @thevaluable500 , where she led global strategy to end disability exclusion, and the @aicdirectors , where she drove organisational change to embed accessibility and disability confidence.
