Following our presentation at Collectible Fair, Brussels, an editorial selection of five objects brings forward our continuing interest in allegedly alluring aesthetics and the construction of intimate space.
A tray, incense holder, comb, bookmark, and a hook—each developed through a distinct sculptural language and produced by hand, approach the domestic object as both personal artifact and spatial presence.
Presented as part of an ongoing curated series,

(ὑγρὰ φύσις) Hygra Physis, Daybed —
I'm presenting a recently completed design, at @collectiblefair , in Brussels.
A study of the possibilities of reclining and reposing... Following an allusion to the concept of hygra physis, an ancient Greek notion describing the moist, generative force of nature.
A phrase I encountered while reading Sexual Personae: Camille Paglia revives this term to assert the view that sexuality and life arise from a dark, fluid, and uncontrollable natural power, one that culture may restrain, but never abolish.
The origins of the phrase, attested in Moralia by Plutarch, are dated to 100 CE.

Arc Annex III, Anoe Melliou
The construction of Annex is a continuing interest, explored through the unresolved circle as boundary, and a site of encounter. Emphasis on the continuity, rupture and reconfiguration of limits (breaking of boundaries).
Omitting excessive detail and emotive color, but retaining a tentative, vulnerable quality in the simplest forms, she accomplishes an idiosyncratic, unfixed space. — Eccentric Abstraction, Lucy Lippard about Eva Hesse
Along the curve, vertical parts, aligned magnetically, explore points of contact and tangency.

𝓃𝑒𝓌 𝓎𝑜𝓇𝓀 — Arc Annex II is exhibited during NYCxDESIGN, May 15-20, at The Greenwich by Rafael Viñoly, in Manhattan, within a 68th-floor apartment curated by Simple Flair.
Arc Annex II is a modular vase, that approaches the unresolved circle as a sculptural study of boundary, rupture, and convergence. Along its curved form, a magnetically attached vertical vessel creates a shifting interplay, inviting responsive interaction and continual reconfiguration.

Opening at Museum Angewandte Kunst,
on May 13, in Frankfurt — Positions on Freedom,
Design and Its Boundaries.
I’m delighted to have contributed an excerpt concerning Allegedly Alluring Aesthetics, an ongoing inquiry into female subjectivity, for the reader accompanying the exhibition.
Mediated through textual, curatorial, and spatial iterations, I have approached the boudoir as an architectural typology and a cultural construct. Allegedly Alluring Aesthetics frames gendered interiors not as peripheral or ornamental domains, but as active sites of cultural power and spatial agency.
The exhibition is part of World Design Capital 2026 and its overarching theme, Design for Democracy. It is curated by @anton_rahlwes and @the.thing.magazine — realised in partnership with @usmmodularfurniture .

Asymptote — exhibited at Maj van der Linden Gallery, as an assemblage that oscillates between planar and pictorial states to dynamic contractions.
Enabled by its distinct modular and magnetic features, Asymptote generates a range of spatial possibilities. Its curved sheet base, secured through a sequence of magnetic spheres, can be arranged as parallel planes, opposing concave forms, or aligned curves, shifting between dynamic contrast and cohesive continuity.
Each configuration creates a distinct spatial condition, introducing a continually shifting field of relations.
Asymptote has been previously exhibited at @conceptualbiennale in Berlin, and @collectiblefair in Brussels, and has been recently featured on @leibal .
The exhibition Soft Reflections brings into proximity the textiles of @dedarmilano and a selection of contemporary collectible design, such as the mirror by @analog_glass and the couch by @jakub_kubica248 .
