The first can design we did for Paria (2017). @paria.cc just posted about it so it’s prompted this. It was a happy period working with North. Everything was new territory for us and there were plenty of rules still to break… This was a bold move for us - releasing a beer with a teasingly minimal P on the front. It went down well though and opened the gates creatively. The beer was decent I seem to recall. #beercandesign #refold #paria #leeds

NEWS! I just received a box of @dgsolaris - Tellisford Loop vinyl records yesterday! I had a listening party with myself last night, and read through all of the lyrics. The album feels like an honest and clear portrait of this stage of life: running down to the river each morning and completing the loop at Tellisford, Somerset, turning 40, family becoming the centre, the struggle to keep the warmth and love and creative fire alive, parents moving into a new phase and my own children blowing my ego apart in the most beautiful way possible. I hope somewhere along the way, it resonates with you. It has been described as “self-aware, post-dad rock”. Nail on head? I made this album on Tuesdays during 2024, an often quite solitary pursuit but also employing the many talents of Leana Green, @rosannaschuramusic , @jimmy.norden , @augusta.music @tomchadd , @petejosef , @hugh.soma_studio and @matthardy.drums . Photo by Christopher Jeney, design by James Ockelford at @refold . It was partially funded by friends through a crowdfunding campaign. Some designs for Pour Decisions at Tate Gallery's Corner Bar - Thursday 26 June 2025 - from 7pm - free entry. This edition features Laetitia Sadier (Stereolab / Monade), Iko Cherie (Malphino / Monade) and Doug Shipton (Finders Keepers).... . ... We designed poster/zines to accompany the event - more on these later. Decadry lettering was transferred, photocopied, scanned and used in the design I suppose as a reference to the zine culture of the 1990s that Stereolab featured in so much. In 1999, I wrote an article about Cobra and Phases Group Play Voltage in the Milky Night in Uavhengig - the zine I produced at the time. It was a great feeling working on this again for @brewingfolk / @verdantbrew .
