REEF
From the quiet edges of Llanmorlais — a place better known for sea air than sub-bass - Reef carved his sound not from scenes, but from obsession. First mentored by his brother Huntu, Reef’s early years were built on pirate radio rips, scratchy dubplates, and the raw energy of jungle pioneers like Bryan Gee, DJ Randall, T>l, and Hazard.
Fast forward, and Reef’s now a name echoing from sweaty basements to sun-drenched stages. He’s taken his genre-blending sets — swerving between DnB, Garage, and 140 - to festivals like Big Tent, Escape to the Park, In It Together, and Hospitality on the Beach in Croatia. His selections don’t chase trends; they build moments - deep rollers, dark steppers, and peak-time pressure with purpose.
Reet’s residencies at Bunkhouse Cardiff, Hippos, and Sin City have become rites of passage for local heads, while guest spots at Vaults, The Crown, Basement 45, Six Feet Under, and District have seen him shell it down alongside the very artists who inspired him: Shy FX, Kings Of The Rollers, Halogenix, Kasra, Bladerunner, Crissy Criss, Born On Road’s Toby Ross, and more.
